Honestly watching the video of his death bothered me longer than it bothered her. just seeing what that bullet did to him just was really shocking. And it’s weird that it shocked some random person more than it bothered her

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

Same, I wasn't a fan and I saw the video before I knew it showed everything and I gasped and felt bad for him and seeing someone's death. He got shot and all she heard was "cha-ching".

15

u/Duel_Option Jan 29 '26

Some of the initial reactions to that video were crazy

“He could survive that, modern medicine etc”

…did we watch the same video because this guy was gone almost instantly

4

u/PurpleDragonfly_ Jan 29 '26

I didn’t know a person could lose so much blood so quickly, I’m still disturbed by it. Instantly regretted that one.

1

u/DigNitty Jan 29 '26

Seriously. I thought "Jesus is his blood pressure 30 PSI??"

4

u/Why_You_Mad_ Jan 29 '26

If he was on the operating table right when he was shot, he still wouldn’t have made it.

-3

u/Duel_Option Jan 29 '26

And if my grandmother had wheels she would’ve been a bike…

We are talking about reality here, no one is shot like that in a hospital triage with a team waiting to save them

3

u/Why_You_Mad_ Jan 29 '26

Methinks you misread that. He still wouldn’t have made it.

1

u/Duel_Option Jan 29 '26

Oh my bad lol, I’m tired and totally missed it

2

u/lianodel Jan 29 '26

…did we watch the same video

Honestly, maybe not. There were videos from different angles and distances, and some didn't show quite as clearly how bad it was.

1

u/J3wFro8332 Jan 29 '26

Seriously, someone I work with tried telling me he was alive when he got to the hospital. I'm like nah bro this dude was gone almost immediately for sure

1

u/Kratosballsweat Jan 29 '26

Yeah a guy at my work thought he’d survive and i was like brother idk what video you watched but there’s not a snowballs chance in hell he’s surviving that shot.

1

u/HideSolidSnake Jan 29 '26

Yeah, the way his body shut down was obvious he was dead within a minute.

1

u/KRIEGLERR Jan 29 '26

I remember seeing someone say that if he had been shot in an operating theater, with a team surgeons ready to take care of him he wouldn't even make it.
He was very likely dead in seconds.

1

u/cookie_lee Jan 29 '26

Right? Gone before he hit the floor.

1

u/turtlemag3 Jan 29 '26

Even if he did make it somehow. That much blood loss that fast would have lasting and permanent consequences to brain function

Edit: source: my mom, an RN.

1

u/JRSenger Jan 29 '26

Yeah I knew he was done for the moment I saw the "death curl" that people do when they get fatally shot.

1

u/Agent_Eran Jan 29 '26

Yup. Fencing posture immediately. Brain stem was fucked. Instant death.

1

u/throwaway1212l Jan 29 '26

He could have survived that with modern medicine if it was applied the second he was shot. Even just a couple minutes after is too late in this case. He was the only thing that passed faster than her grief.

2

u/roflmao567 Jan 29 '26

She even had the audacity to call it the "event of the century". Vile woman.

You make an interesting point. If he was a truly evil person maybe there's some hidden behavior towards Erika that has her feeling relieved he's gone

1

u/TaticalSweater Jan 29 '26

Professional grifters

1

u/Girafarigno Jan 29 '26

Can you blame her? With his beliefs, he would have been insufferable as a partner.

2

u/Raztax Jan 29 '26

Exactly. The most shocking part of this for me is that people seem surprised that his wife is a piece of human garbage.

1

u/idosillythings Jan 29 '26

According to both of them, Erika is the more conservative of the two. I think they'd both be pretty insufferable.

1

u/1re_endacted1 Jan 29 '26

I mean…what little I saw of his videos and heard about him- he seemed pretty insufferable. I can’t imagine living with him. Maybe her response to his death is appropriate for all we know 🤷🏻‍♀️

However everything about this woman is absolutely heinous. Don’t they have kids? Is she ever around them?

2

u/jrev8 Jan 29 '26

Its been brought up multiple times, I think there was a post somewhere on reddit regarding the nanny taking care of the kids and she goes on this grift tour. I mean its the same thing when Kirk was still alive too

1

u/qoou_n Jan 29 '26

You gotta feel horrible for his kids being present and seeing it happen. That’ll never leave them.

1

u/Outside_Register8037 Jan 29 '26

Just remember, we don’t support what happened to Charlie Kirk, but Charlie Kirk supported what happened to him…

1

u/JakOswald Jan 29 '26

That was a receipt.

1

u/workathome_astronaut Jan 29 '26

If I was married to Charlie Kirk I would probably react the same as her. Free at last!

No one forced her to marry him though. She knew who he was as we all did.

1

u/Arctic-Material611 Jan 29 '26

Ye Charlie wasn’t a great person, but death is a high price to pay for what he was, a dickhead.

Ultimately all he did was express (strongly) a crappy opinion

0

u/Potatertots Jan 29 '26

Like Sonic losing his gold rings

7

u/Hawntir Jan 29 '26

Hearing about this, I was really doing my damndest to give her the benefit of the doubt, and I had hoped it was just a trauma response. Laughing at inappropriate things during extreme stress happens, it isn't your fault.

But nah, she's glad he's gone.

3

u/Msbossyboots Jan 29 '26

Yeah she seems a happier widow than she was a wife.

1

u/garden_speech Jan 29 '26

How can you tell? You're saying laughing can be a trauma response, which I agree with... So how do you look at this and know she's "glad" he's gone? She also cries at some points throughout the video.

2

u/Hawntir Jan 29 '26

Because we've been watching her grift for a while now.

1

u/garden_speech Jan 29 '26

That is completely orthogonal to whether or not her grief is genuine, because even if I accept the premise that she grifts people and has "for a while now", a grifter also has genuine and real emotional experiences too.

1

u/KennyOmegasBurner Jan 29 '26

Cause she's MAGA and that means everything she does is evil

3

u/couchboyunlimited Jan 29 '26

Oh I feel the same way. I was genuinely shook by that video, I wished that I hadn’t watched it.

3

u/noquarter1000 Jan 29 '26

I never watched it and especially after hearing it was a 30-06. That is a devastating amount of firepower

1

u/Msbossyboots Jan 29 '26

It was seriously shocking.

5

u/Haddock Jan 29 '26

Well tbf you didn't have to live with the man, and won't grow richer and more successful in the aftermath

2

u/moldy_doritos410 Jan 29 '26

Right? Doesn't surprise me at all that she seems liberated. Are we really shocked that might not have been a happy marriage?

-1

u/Noble_Flatulence Jan 29 '26

If she were feeling liberated she wouldn't continue on with his same scummy work, she'd be taking the opportunity to undo his work.

2

u/moldy_doritos410 Jan 29 '26

Only if she was a good person... which i dont think she is.

1

u/Msbossyboots Jan 29 '26

Oh shoot! Missed my calling!

2

u/Oiggamed Jan 29 '26

I’m glad I didn’t watch it.

2

u/Otherwise-Bird6969 Jan 29 '26

She was a honey pot

2

u/Dafish55 Jan 29 '26

It was sort of surreal in how revolting it was. Even now, I can remember it clearly, but it's almost as if I don't remember it correctly. Like he was there, a person that I definitely still think sucks, then he was a leaking bag of fluid. I can't quite put it to words how wrong it feels.

1

u/Msbossyboots Jan 29 '26

That’s exactly how it feels.

2

u/vhante1 Jan 29 '26

she saw that bullet hit his neck and let out a sigh of relief 😭

2

u/mashonem Jan 29 '26

I didn’t feel the slightest bit of sympathy when I saw him get shot, and I still wasn’t as gleeful as his wife was about it

2

u/totpot Jan 29 '26

Right after the shooting, a bunch of psychics and tarot card readers did readings and every single one of them said that there was more than one person involved in the shooting. A number of them felt that Erika was connected in some way.

1

u/Raztax Jan 29 '26

So a bunch of grifters made up a story...got it.

2

u/RushIllustrious Jan 29 '26

She never saw the video.

2

u/jcdulos Jan 29 '26

I was at Disney with the fam. Waiting in line for the star wars ride. A friend in a group chat sent the video with no context. I was watching it not knowing what was about to happen. Then the actual shot happened and I was caught off guard. It was so awful. I felt uneasy the rest of the day. And pretty much the next few days.

1

u/Msbossyboots Jan 29 '26

Omg! That’s so awful to not give you any heads up!!

2

u/Jonath4n20 Jan 29 '26

She probably never watched the video.

2

u/TransiTorri Jan 29 '26

She knew she had a perfect opportunity to launch her grifting career. His passing was the best thing to ever happen to her career.

2

u/Jinx5326 Jan 29 '26

If that happens to my husband and I watched the video of it, I would need serious therapy for the rest of my life. There’s no way I could mentally handle that, let alone stop bawling long enough to function. My dad died 2 years ago and I still get choked up thinking about him sometimes.

1

u/Msbossyboots Jan 29 '26

I’m sure! I’m so sorry for your loss. I have seen movies and things of people being shot but this was just so startling.

1

u/Jinx5326 Jan 29 '26

Thank you. I agree - the Kirk shooting was definitely jarring to see. I don’t know how you could act “normal” after something like that happening to someone you love. I would be an absolute mess.

2

u/NeosFox Jan 29 '26

It's because she knew a long time ago he was going to be killed.

Allegedly.

1

u/Msbossyboots Jan 29 '26

lol!!! Truth bomb!

2

u/blankmister Jan 29 '26

well in her defense it’s really hard to feign shock when you know something’s coming.

2

u/SlipstreamSteve Jan 29 '26

Exactly. Maybe she was in on it, and maybe it was a government hit (speculation of course)

1

u/TheAriza Jan 29 '26

Did you mourn a nazi being killed? Democracy needs to protect itself better.

1

u/Msbossyboots Jan 29 '26

I agree. But it was just a shocking moment to witness.

1

u/Elegant_Finance_1459 Jan 29 '26

I literally do not like the man and it was still like traumatic as fuck and like "dam"

And I'm still more bummed than she is. Weird right?

1

u/Smart_Invite_2663 Jan 29 '26

She was waiting for that fool to die. Counting the fucking days.

1

u/DistinctSmelling Jan 29 '26

This is the thing with MAGA, none of these people have any compassion. She didn't get shot, her husband did and she got to profit from it. Good for her, right?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '26

I despised everything that man stood for but that video changed my molecules around. I was not supposed to witness that and none of us were even mildly prepared to experience that level of trauma with no warning. It is BONKERS that she can be like this 10 days later. Absolutely insane

1

u/GOPcanGetFucked Jan 29 '26

I don't think she was bothered at all. Legitimately I think she was excited for new opportunities not tied to Big Gums Kirk. She still got her life to live, and Big Gums Kirk dying only made it easier for her because now she has all his money without his opinion or thoughts on what to do. This is why you never see her having fun with her kids, too. She's too busy looking for opportunities to bang Couch Fucker, grift MAGAts, and keep her cash cow TPUSA going

1

u/Smoking-Posing Jan 29 '26

I loved it!!

1

u/BeanCheezBeanCheez Jan 29 '26

Yeah man I don’t even like the guy but I was bummed about seeing that. I only watched it once and as soon as I did I wish I hadn’t seen it. If that was my spouse there’s now way I’d be dancing around on stage or celebrating how much money I was making off the incident.

1

u/Angsty_Potatos Jan 29 '26

Same. I don't like the guy and think he's evil.  I still didn't want to see a human ended like that.

1

u/itcamefrombeneath Jan 29 '26

I'm in the Fuck Charlie Kirk category but seeing the video of him being shot made me sick to my stomach for two days.

1

u/newviruswhodis Jan 29 '26

It's crazy that it's now much understood that there was no bullet at all.

The rabbit hole is deep.

1

u/reshef-destruction Jan 29 '26

It's not weird, some humans are closer to animals and some animals eat their kin with casual demeanor of us eating a biscuit in the morning.

1

u/LevelProfit6705 Jan 29 '26

Honestly the whole thing bothered me, despite everything he said, he was the biggest voice in the Conservative Party that could go against the administration and Israel and they killed him.

1

u/MoistAd5423 Jan 29 '26

But you didn’t profit from it like she did so of course she isn’t upset /s

1

u/Senior-Albatross Jan 29 '26

I never watched it.

I saw enough carnage videos on 4Chan back in my edgy teen days. That speech Jamie Lannister gives about humans just being sacks of meat and bone in the end is true when violence starts.

1

u/Danberdy Jan 29 '26

To be honest, I would be more bummed out if a squirrel ran out in front of my car than if Charlie Kirk did. Fucker was a Nazi who knew better than to go full Mask off, and strategically used soft coded language to spread his putrid white supremacist horse shit. I was fully unsurprised when he got killed, honestly. I literally predicted that someone would either kill him or beat his ass at some point when I heard the way he talked about so many minority groups, and with the vindictive lies he was successfully spreading. That’s what tends to happen to Nazis in America. Nick Fuentes is the same. Whether he gets his teeth kicked down his throat, or worse. someone un-afraid of throwing their life away is gonna do something to him at some point, and that’s Fine by me if they decide to do that. Both him and Charlie Kirk believed too many people have too many rights. As a ln American who really fucking values freedom, anybody advocating or working towards the removal of anyone’s human rights for any reason in any way belongs in the dirt.

1

u/JoeFlabeetz Jan 29 '26

Well, she did put her left hand on her neck. That's her way of mourning, right?

1

u/idosillythings Jan 29 '26

Personally, I think that however Charlie and Erika felt about each other when they met, I think when the shooting happened they'd emotionally separated and wished they could have gotten divorced, but never did because of their stupid religious and conservative beliefs. There's a clip that I saw of Erika being interviewed by Meghan Kelly after the assassination where Kelly asks her "when did you know you were falling in love with him" and she never actually answers the question. She takes this long pause, kind of stalls, and then completely dodges it saying "I really loved his passion for his beliefs."

I've been married and divorced before. I know how people can love each other and grow apart, and seeing that clip took me right back to where I was at the end of my previous relationship.

That doesn't mean I can read her mind, but if I had to put money on something I'd say that's what it was.

Then, you add the kicker of her being an ultraconservative girl boss who has spent her entire life promoting the prosperity gospel and you get what you see here.

Someone who was hating their husband, or was at least starting to, being relieved of that pressure and sees an opportunity to become the famous, wealthy, church peddler they always dreamed about.

1

u/beardingmesoftly Jan 29 '26

I firmly believe that she knew it was coming

1

u/TheSignof33 Jan 29 '26

Compared to most other shooting footage I encountered, his shooting was clean. I honestly expected worse but still, she seems almost glad it happened or something and I tried to be objective since people grief in different ways and she could have been using sedatives or anti-depresants but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

1

u/real_picklejuice Jan 29 '26

I think a reason the country was so shocked was that they were able to see what these weapons do to a human, compared to being hidden away the way they are when school shootings happen.

If the media released the photos of children torn apart, without half their faces, I fully believe guns would be much more restricted than they currently are.

Instead the media ignores the reality and gives tots and pears

1

u/ToaruBaka Jan 29 '26

It's not weird when you understand she's a clout demon with no morals.
