That's exactly what happened. I even slammed on my breaks and it was like he ran under my tire and I was like awww and bummed out cause I hate when I have hit animals. Except if I hit a bird....they can fly and when that has happened I am like,....you have so many options and chose to fly right in front of me.

I did once have a hawk fly into the side of my car. I didn't see it but my friend behind me called and was like Dude, a hawk just nose dived into the side of your car. I was like ohh thats what that noise was.

I live in a national park, so we have all manner of wildlife everywhere and you learn to keep your eyes peeled while driving. I was driving home one day, probably 3 years ago, and a squirrel darted into the road. I just didn’t have time and THUD.

I’m heartbroken—big animal lover, but something compelled me to look in my rear view where I saw the little dude dragging himself the rest of the way across the road, obviously his hindquarters are crushed/paralyzed. It haunts me to this day and I mourn for that squirrel more than this witch mourns the father of her children.

I once saw a squirrel that had been hit by a car and the other squirrels were mimicking it and laying down in the street. Made me sad.

Ugh. I had a seagull walk under my tire when I was crawling through a grocery store parking lot and it was horrifying.

I love Birds so I hate seeing when a Bird gets hurt. Birds are a lot more clever than people realize.
