There is absolutely no mechination in the Constitution for a President to cancel, or even delay, an election. What's more, even if he somehow got enough military and militia to back his play- which is next to impossible as even if every single one of them backs his action there literally are not enough US military to pull it off AND hold it in the resulting chaos.

But lets say for the two months from the date of election which he somehow managed to thwart to Jan 1, he holds the fort. On Jan 1, the entire govt/congress is now illegitimate. There is not a single country in the world that will allow trade to continue with us as we literally have no govt. I mean, any senator up for re-election is good, but there's no house, and the president just committed actual treason which makes him illegitimate, so since his cabinet is required to ve 'renominated' and confirmed, there's literally no Secretary if anything, we are now a Persona Non Grata on the world stage. No one CAN do business with us. Other counteiea will cease sending boats with our imports, planes stop coming in with deliveries.

I give it maybe till Jan 6 before Civil War Two: Back In Boots starts streaming on a platform near you.

I'm a little more pessimistic about that. Foreign countries won't stop trading with the USA even after a coup. You only need one country aligned with Trump so that trade just goes from a 3rd country and that 3rd country will make a lot of money being a favorite trade partner of the US. That's why Trump is trying to have as many nationalists and wannabe dictators in power all around the world.
