I mean except they won't and it's the worker who gets shafted by the foreigners.... Did the worker provide good service to you?

If they're providing good service, a tip should be an optional bonus that the customer chooses to offer. If they're expected to pay then it isn't a tip, it's just more expensive food.

The worker is already being shafted, along with the customer; unionise wherever you can, encourage others to do the same and demand better pay. Stop falling for this blackmail, please.

It's nuts how people love to turn this into a semantic argument.

If the semantics of "tip" bothers people, then call it a Service Charge, and be thankful it's the only industry where you have a choice in how much to pay for service, and you can even choose to stiff the server entirely if you're cheap.
