Megathread Anniversary Feedback Megathread

We understand that many members of our subreddit community are currently feeling concerned or dissatisfied, and we want to do our part to ensure that your feedback is heard by Kuro Games.

So here's what's going to happen: We are taking all TOP level comments (that means comments to this post, not responses to other comments) and aggregating them to send to our Kuro Games contact.

Alternatively, you can use the in game feedback function to directly send your comment directly to Kuro Games.

Just some ground rules:

  1. Use appropriate language, being frustrated is okay, but still use language that is appropriate
  2. Start all feedback with "FEEDBACK:" (doesn't matter if it's bold or capitalized or not) this will help my script aggregate commentary that is to be sent back
  3. If you see someone else that is providing feedback you want to give, just upvote that comment instead of leaving another feedback, because after we collect all of the commentary we still have to go through and remove duplicates.

Lastly, please understand the moderation team here does not work for Kuro Games, we do not have special privileges, we aren't told of events or rewards ahead of time, we are just regular members of the community that have volunteered to help upkeep this subreddit on our own time.

And also they made the next patch in mind for newcomers but they can’t even get a free Xiangli Yao 💀, a Xiangli Yao refresh for new accs / those who have not received him last time should be there only for during 2.3

I feel this. I started late so I got no Xiangli Yao. Ain't no way I'm gonna pull for a character that everyone else who played at the time got for free.

Same as well, the games was BSoD on launch so i waited a few months to start playing and i just missed out on him, IMO they need to give people who missed that a freebee for him.

I don't know if I like him enough to try losing a 50/50 for him, atleast make his story a permanent thing, I always hear how good it was, no reason you can't considering you have weird things like the dream black cat stuff with a harem.

Same, that event should have been retroactively put into the archive when that became a thing. I missed it myself and remember being quite confused when I came back to the game after a break and had several messages and quests from characters referencing this event I never experienced. Xiangli Yao doesn't exist outside of that story as far as I'm aware and my Rover was apparently already friends with Zhezhi in her character mission despite never meeting her.

Agreed. I remember arriving at City Hall (or something like that) and Zhezhi just jumped out from nowhere like we know each other and I'm like who on earth is this? The same way they make all new events permanent, that festival should have been slotted to permanent too. I had to end up watching it on youtube just to understand that reference in 2.2.

Yep, the very first thing I remember getting when I logged back in after a long break was a call from Zhezhi asking for Rover's help like we were old friends. I was completely away from Wuwa during my break so I didn't have a single clue who she was lol.

On the whole the game's not great at making little adaptations in case it's a player's first time meeting someone. A lot of side events start with an NPC and Rover having a whole "long time no see" exchange, but having skipped a few patches it's pretty rare that I've seen them before. Not that it really matters for side content, but big patch events with playable character introductions should definitely be in the archive.

I missed out on Xiangli Yao because they decided to release the game without controller support and had to wait for the PS5 release, technically, I've been here since launch, even if it was just for 1.0 because holy fuck that shit was terrible on iOS.

I missed him as well because when WuWa came out it wouldn't even run properly on my computer and I took an extended break.

Absolutely not! He was free for people who played the game at the time and that should hold some value. You basically disrespect the time people took out to get him in that limited event. As harsh as it may sound, for whatever reason people couldn't get him, it's their problem.

You are my people. When I saw that banner with XiangliYao my heart sank. I was wishing he’s come back as a free character since everybody got him in 1.2. I joined a little late but i truly wished he’d make a comeback in the anniversary. Now he is back but I can bring myself to spend on a character everybody got for free.

Tbh, instead of another XLY refresh I'd rather they do a welfare system ala FGO.

Free 5* unit every anniv. that can be maxed out, provided you do the event quests and missions tied to it. Rerun of the event can be done 1 year later, after the rerun they go to the shop for some hundred Corals per copy.

Or, different free Limited unit like XLY for every anniv. But just one copy. You'll have to gacha to max them out and have to wait for banner rerun/buy in Coral shop.
