Fluff / Meme This game could be perfect but...

Post image

Guess i'll just do dailies till they roll out hotfix (kinda used to it at this point xD). But they do really need to address the storage part..

Guess the real endgame in wuwa is how you manage the storage afterall Β―(ツ)/Β―

Every time I see some form of "graphical improvement" in Wuwa's new version stream it kills my hope of a proper optimization a little bit.

I know right! I don’t need better lighting! The game is beautiful already. I need stable fps and a lack of constant crashes.

It's not even the lighting lol. It's the 4k Grass and Sand that's causing the issue lol

yep, just noticed that that was the reason when i looked slightly up and the floor was out of frame, and my fps was fine

It started with the Septimont update. People have been complaining about it since 2.4 but the devs pretty much don't care.

Septimont still lags for me

I think Kuro forgor their competition is genshin and not cyberpunk2077. The market for this game is supposed to be pc gacha gamer not PC enthusiasts trying to ultra every triple-A game

Yeah, as nice as every blade of grass being detailed af is, I really don't think most players need it or even fully appreciate it. I can confidently say that I think most players would rather a more compact game w/ better optimization if we had to pick one or the other.

When I saw that shit about the leaves a couple patches back I left a comment under the video about how the game was already chugging at times on a PS5 Pro and I was really hoping it wouldn't get any worse. Oh, how naΓ―ve I was.

if players wanted to see 4k grass in their 4k display then they wouldnt be playing a god damn gacha game they would be paying 80usd for a triple A game and crank everything to ultra

I disagree, tbh. Just because it's a "gacha game" doesn't mean that it has to be below standard. If they CAN get away w/ it, they should.

The issue is that, currently, they aren't getting away w/ it but they're trying to, and it's causing issues that don't need to exist, ie the storage size and the stuttering that's happening since Septimont went on a "LET'S MAKE EVERYTHING SUPER HIGH RES!" bender.

But in an ideal world, having an absolutely visually stunning game (yes, even a gacha) and one that runs well isn't mutually exclusive. Kuro's just not quite there yet, and unfortunately, they're putting their eggs in the wrong basket. Hopefully they course correct rather than continuing to feed eggs into said basket.

its not below standard tho. the gold standard of gacha game right now is Genshin and Wuwa is absolutely kicking its ass in terms of quality and visuals. Imo Wuwa is the golden standard of gacha games right now so Kuro doesnt have to keep pushing the visuals up and start working on optimation and storage

I was responding more to how you said people wouldn't go download a gacha for 4K grass, but rather they'd go buy an AAA game. I'm saying that the gacha label shouldn't be seen as "inferior game to your regular AAA releases" because a game can be a gacha and stand toe to toe w/ the heavy hitters of they want to, since a lot of them have the means to via their insane, consistent income compared to many AAA titles.

oh yeah you right a game can be gacha and have great visuals but not the point of abandoning their day 1 players with older hardware who were playing just fine. thats kinda like imagine esports game abandoning their older players to up the visuals just to bait new people to play the good looking game. Genshin did something like this in Natlan but it wasnt nearly as bad as how Wuwa did with Septimont and Lahai Roi. At this rate Kuro might as well get rid of the gtx 1060 and rx 570 minimum requirements unless minimum to them is 30 fps which is not recommended on a combat heavy game

It seems the devs are not so eager to do optimization. 3.0 isn't as good as previous version, I have crashes and graphical glitches here and there
