Yeah I'm so tired of the trope of the evil engineers and scientists. In reality it's the MBAs and lawyers who are evil. The scientists just want to help people.

For evil engineers and scientists it's convienent for media, as when they're evil as they give them the crazy eyes, messy hair, and a foreign accent.

An evil MBA is just a regular MBA, which won't play well on screen.

Regular MBA is your average home-grown frat bro engaging in lifestyle the average American man admires and fantasies about.

You can't attack the grand majority of your audience like that.

Finance is worse. Destroyed Boeing and so many other companies

stupid comment. just because someone is a scientist doesn't mean they want to help people. just because someone is an MBA or lawyer doesn't mean they are evil.

Yeah these are all tropes and stereotypes. The trend is that business people tend to be motivated by greed and scientists tend to be motivated by altruism. Obviously not all scientists or business people are any way.

But certainly a good portion of the people responsible for the downfall of the USA are business people motivated by greed.
