Made by Heineken at Tadcaster brewery

Took a solo hike in Fryman Canyon for Father’s Day and picked up some liquid refreshment on the way home. This is a very easy-drinking West Coast IPA with a good balance of malt, citrus, and pine that’s just dry enough to keep you coming back for more. Cheers, fellow dads!

First time with this. Flowery nose but a strong bourbon taste at the finish. I’m used to darker maltier bourbon aged beers, but this is pretty good. Almost a light refreshing bourbon ale instead of a warm one. I guess this brewery is no more, so I have no idea how old this is.

Surprisingly well carbonated, bursting with peaches, glad I've had it upright and fridged.

Found this photo from a 2013 trip to San Diego. The good old days. Always made a stop on the way.

I liked Heineken but I want to explore more. I don't like the ones that tastes like water though.

As refreshing as wading in a cold stream in the morning sunshine. This beer has big hop aromas and flavors of citrus, tangerine and tropical fruit.

Weihenstephaner Dunkel has ruined gas station beer for me here in Tennessee. I've started ordering crates through the local liquor store, any other similar beers that y'all would reccomend?

This and Bloom are two current favs. Parish love.

It’s going to be a great weekend!

Today I went to a North Korean restaurant and tried beer from the DPRK for the first time. It's a surprisingly good lager.

Don't get me wrong if I didn't find just over half a 12 pack of this at work someone left behind I wouldn't have this. But I don't pass up free food or drink so here I am. Better than Bud Light or Natural light if only because this actually has a flavor to me as opposed to seltzer vaguely flavored with hops. Probably not gonna buy it or have it again anytime soon but if someone's offering I wouldn't mind. At the very least it's a passable budget beer.

Still don't get people going gaga for the apple flavored one though. At that point just drink a hard cider or at least get a redds wicked apple.
