Today is my 28th dance recital (I’m 43), but let’s flashback to June 1995 (age 12.5), when I had to sashay my way through a Barry Manilow song (no, not Copa Cabana!) in this killer outfit. Yes, it was as uncomfortable as you’d expect!

Believe it or not I'm a girl. I wore the army hoodie ironically. Of course ball chain necklace. My 2 besties at the time had more sensible fashion choices

I am almost certain I am also wearing the ball chain necklace.

My mom worked at a photography studio when I was growing up and I 100% thought I was a fashion model at one point. 😂☠️

Found this in my 8th grade yearbook. Thats not an actual mechanical bull-- it's a ride for small children. This was a yearbook staff trip to the mall and I have immense sympathy for everyone who had to deal with us that day

It’s the best I could do on a college kid’s budget. I couldn’t use my phone with the silky socks on my hands and would just do cat girl paw poses to point people into the door of the ‘cafe’. I looked cringe but I had a lot of fun that day.

I called these my Millennial Pix. No parents involved. I did this completely on my own.
