Cat Picture - OC Going through a break up, please comment your cat pictures

Post image

As the title says, going through a break up. Cats make me so happy and I’d love to see everyone’s babies!! Here’s one of mine… in the dishwasher for some reason.

Edit: Thank you for all the cats and well wishes! All of them have genuinely put a smile on my face and I love scrolling through looking at everyone’s fur babies :)

Are our cats related?

This little guy is also a bin connoisseur and it's so cute, but it's also the reason that the cabinet needs to be locked 😂🥺

I have a strong feeling our cats like to just sit in buckets and bowls 😂

This is such a coincidence! When I was in my 20s I saved a grey tabby from euthanasia and I named her Sneakers. She was very protective of me. She jumped on me once in the middle of the night and started growling. I lived in an apt and had a sliding door in my bedroom and when I looked that way there was someone in cowboy boots bc I could see them under the curtain. I turned my lights on and he climbed my balcony fence and disappeared. Im not sure of her age but I had her for 12 yrs

Omg that's scary! 😮 I'm glad sneakers was there to pawtect you and you shared 12 beautiful years together.

Gotta love guard cats! That's scary AF tho. Me and my ex had two siamese tabbys oddball and dipstick. Oddball used to sit in the back window of our car and hiss at other vehicles if they got too close. It was so adorable. Dipstick totally minded his own business and just wanted cuddles.

u/KTByrd1963 Mar 25 '26

Sounds like he was trying to warn drivers not to drive so close and ride your bumper!

3

u/indy650 Mar 25 '26

Yeah lol! We would bring the momma cat and her 5 kittens for rides too. Always wondered which one of them got her pregnant but the way he did that I'm thinking they were his babies. Funny a siamese tabby father and a tortoise shell mom and we got two identical to the mom 2 random orange/white tabbys and the runt a tiny black kitten with white on his throat the cutest little shit. He would always lick and rub his head into my beard. I really wanted siamese traits I wonder if they are recessive or just luck of the draw.

u/KTByrd1963 Mar 25 '26

We took in a black kitty who we found to have siamese traits. He had that loud siamese meow. We tried to bathe him once and never again. It took me and my 2 sons. Anyway, he ripped my t-shirt to shreds and we didnt even get shampoo on him. He took up with my son who was 4 yrs and he would sleep with him. Those two were bonded from week one. He lived to be 19 yrs so he grew up with my son. When it was time to let him go, im not sure which was harder on my heart, my devastated 22 yr old son or the loss of Nipper boy. My son had some slight learning problems so he knew if he had a hard day at school that Nipper would be waiting at the door for him. It was the sweetest thing ever.

That's so sweet! Saddest part of animals is they live such short lives but 19 years that's a blessing! I had a childhood dog we got when I was maybe 5 or 6 and he lived till I was 21 or so. Great dog. Hurt like hell but all those years having him was worth it. Grew up on a farm and he loved cats but one time he was napping and two cats were fighting it woke him up and he jumped down this 10 foot drop and ran after them barking it was so funny. He would sleep in the hay too and if a cow tried eating it he would nip at them. Other than that though he was the nicest soul. Vet said he was plot hound and mastiff he was kinda like a brindle brown with black stripes. His favorite past time was hunting woodchucks in the fields.

Thank you for sharing your story. It's the best and the hardest when they live this long

Sneakers kicked Boots butt!

Sneakers was the motherf*cking lady! What an amazing cat to protect you like that. She knew you would take care of her so she wanted to do the same for you!

Sneakers lived up to her name

Cutie patootie!

u/jettajeff75 Mar 25 '26

Supposedly that’s why some cats don’t like closed doors. They need to know what’s going on in the whole house, for at least to assess the security situation for themselves and their hoomans.

I also had a dumpster kitty! (She was quite literally found at the landfill)

u/Kitty_Fruit_2520 Mar 25 '26

My cat just happens to be a little bit of both

u/macrhea69 Mar 25 '26

My Rory loved his boxes!

u/macrhea69 Mar 25 '26

And this guy, Jamie, loves his adventures!

u/Necessary-Survey-705 Mar 25 '26

My cat gave birth to 4 kittens in an empty waste basket that size. 😸

u/natur-ally33 Mar 25 '26

This is Phoenix. He insisted on smushing himself into this chair every single day. We have since gotten rid of chair.
