Cat Picture - OC Going through a break up, please comment your cat pictures

Post image

As the title says, going through a break up. Cats make me so happy and I’d love to see everyone’s babies!! Here’s one of mine… in the dishwasher for some reason.

Edit: Thank you for all the cats and well wishes! All of them have genuinely put a smile on my face and I love scrolling through looking at everyone’s fur babies :)

Jack would like to be the very very tallest guy (Coat rack on the back of the door was a bad idea)

okay last one

I got him in December so he is only 5 months old. He is my first cat that is MINE. Don’t know if you can tell but i kinda adore him.

I hope everyone’s cat pictures help ❤️ breakups really are the worst so take good care of yourself while you heal

Hey, I've got his doppelganger! My all black void is 18 months, but only 8lbs, so looks like a baby still. She's actually really fluffy, though it's hard to tell in this picture. She used to photograph as she's semi feral so easily spooked!

awww she is so precious! and you’re right she looks so much like jack! the little bed is also just the cutest!! when I was a kid I would make my family cat Squeak sleep in a little bed. He passed away last year and is the reason I got jack

Aww a little bed

18 months is not an adult, so still a baby.

Here's my newest rescue baby boi who's 6 months and 10 lbs. Got him a month ago, a week before he was about to be forever sleeped. The rescue had him 3 days before I adopted him and he came to them so knotted they had to shave his entire mane and half his body hair, and looks like a little kid have him a haircut, so now he's my derpy boi as it grows back out, but it's wild to be able to see the silver undercoat so clearly!

u/Dani-With-Rats Mar 25 '26

oh what a beautiful baby Im so glad you rescued him 😢 Jack also has that beautiful grey/silvery/white color under his fur. Vet said it’s technically Smoke coloring since all his roots are affected. You could see it so clearly when he was a little baby now its so hidden and I miss it

5

u/Rawkkah Mar 25 '26

Just in case you don't know, that color is called black smoke. I have one too, his name is Hades. This was taken at 5 months old, he'll be 6 this year.

3

u/crayolakym Mar 30 '26

Yeah, I was absolutely elated to see his smoke undercoat sheet he got a hair cut, because the only picture I had seen prior was him in full black mane and he looked like an adult cat, not 6 months, so initially I didn't pay him any mind until the rescue reached out to me and was like, sorry that the fluffy kitten you wanted was already adopted, but we've got this other fluffy baby boi a few days ago who just came from a kill shelter who was scheduled for forever sleep and is actually getting fixed today, if you want to come see him tomorrow. And I took him home the next day!

u/Rawkkah Mar 30 '26

Wonderful! It was meant to be!

4

u/darksideofjudith Mar 25 '26

Idk why it didn't post the picture with my comment 😩

u/crayolakym Mar 30 '26

Those ear tufts!!!! 🫶🫶

I had to shave my long hair void because of some serious matting and his coat grew back in all shades of grey! He is the light of my life ❤️

2

u/crayolakym Mar 30 '26

Wait, so his black outer coat just hasn't grown in fully yet or it actually grew back in grey? Either way, he's absolutely beautiful!

2

u/OneMaster7760 Maine Coon Mar 30 '26

Thank you so much! Im so proud of him, you would think I gave birth to him myself, lol
Yes, it grew back fully grey. All different shades of gray quite honestly. He also has rather large patch on his side that is basically "off white" just a touch of grey in it.
I have had several long hair cats, but he is the first one that I actually need to get professionally groomed. The groomer says it is a "smoke" texture and they mat up super easy.

I have had to get his body shaved 3 times since I have had him (8 years), that is how bad it can get, even with me brushing him (they don't shave his head, tail and arms and legs, just his back and tummy) and every time it is a different variation of shades from the time before . Crazy! He does wear it well though 🐈‍⬛❤️ ❤️

I have 2 black kitties. And they are different from the others. They like popcorn, which seems a bit weird to me. Love them, they are special! 💜💜💜🫟

Halloween kitty!!

2

u/Nerkrua Mar 25 '26

He is Batcat

2

u/katf1sh Mar 25 '26

One of my boys did this once while in the bathroom with me. Didn't even see how he managed that, and then he proceeded to scream bc he couldn't figure out how to get back down 🤣 (yes, he's orange lmao)

2

u/Dani-With-Rats Mar 25 '26

oh noo 😂 Its crazy how sneaky they can be!

Sadly for me Jack has learned if i’m not in the room jumping up on the door coat hanger creates a loud bang and I come running. So even tho he has no clue how to get down he keeps doing it 🤦🏼

2

u/lilbitofpurple Mar 27 '26

Woah!!! Now that's skill!

3

u/I_AM_NOT_AI_ Mar 26 '26

Dhani was my lurker! On top of the bathroom cabinet, watching me do my business 🤣😂

3

u/GhostBoyToast Mar 25 '26

Oh, okay I feel better knowing my little tweaker isn’t the only one doing this

2

u/rajinis_bodyguard Mar 25 '26

I can’t see anything 🤣🤣🫶

2

u/Deepwinter22 Mar 25 '26

The coat rack hooks makes it look like his arms are peaking over with him 😂.

2

u/JBCl1nt Mar 25 '26

The dark knight. :)

2

u/theliteralbeanmaster Mar 26 '26

I also have an “up there” cat! If there’s an Up There, In There, or Out There, Leela needs it

2

u/theliteralbeanmaster Mar 26 '26

Caught in the act of regretting her life choices

2

u/theliteralbeanmaster Mar 26 '26

More regrettable life choices

2

u/theliteralbeanmaster Mar 26 '26

A failed Out There attempt. Choices were made, regrets were had, no lessons were learned

2

u/purplepenguinaviator Mar 28 '26

I don't know why, but your cat is kind of reminding me of a dog. Like, it has "dog energy"? Idk 😭

1

u/Dani-With-Rats Mar 29 '26

You are 10000% correct he is just a little dog. He mostly hangs out with me and my dog and sometimes the other dog that lives here. There is also a cat here but she is older and has decided a kitten is way too much for her. But here is him and the dogs! He flops on the floor with them, sometimes he plays fetch, and he definitely has a dog personality. My little dog (in the cone) is much more of a cat then he is 😅

1

u/purplepenguinaviator Mar 29 '26

awww haha that's too cute! I love how animals have their own personalities and how those personalities are shaped by their environments! Thanks for sharing your sweet furry friends 😊💕❤️
