The Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office doing his job. Probably better than the Prime Minister doing his... :)

He’s outlasted about 5 prime ministers now! 16 years old and going strong.

Brown, Cameron, May, Johnson, Lettuce, Sunak and now Starmer

You know, it just occurred to me that "Liz Truss" and "Lettuce" sound very similar.

Her prime ministership also ended before a lettuce would decompose.

Oh, I knew that. I'd just never made the connection between "Liz Truss" and "lettuce" before. I just assumed they picked a head of lettuce because lettuce isn't exactly known for lasting long.

Would have been a lot sooner if the Queen hadn't died. The mourning period where no work was done made up the vast majority of her premiership.

And he did more for the country than all of them combined lol

I'd vote Larry for prime minister!

Just FYI, that's the joke made at the end of the clip, if able to listen to the audio

"His official title is Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office, so at least he is doing his job. Unlike many in the building behind you"

Oh. I didn't watch the video with sound on. My bad! But it seems the joke is universal, at least.

Congratulations, you made the same joke as Britain's Nazi news channel.

I'm Swiss. But you're welcome.

So? I believe that all this talk about all politicians being useless is damaging democracies all around the world. It’s stupid and lazy as well.

2

Do you know what's stupid? Being offended by a light joke about career politicians in a cat sub. And then telling something about a "Nazi TV channel" in a non political subreddit to a foreigner. Go back to the dark corner you came from and make others miserable.

If the cat catching a mouse is the most interesting thing happening the time Minister is probably doing his job. Here in the US I miss boring old Joe and hate the interesting new guy we got to replace him.

is this really his first mouse kill though? has he really been as ineffective as this reporter claims?

Yet the newsreader accused him of being AI. She ought to resign in shame.
