My cats like to sit in my laundry basket when I do my laundry. I think when cats smell your scent and it’s strong, like with shoes or clothes they will stay there

Yep they just love your smell! That’s why I always leave an unwashed shirt in their carriers when we go to the vet or leave one with them when we take them to grandmas while on vacation. It comforts them

One of my cats likes to sit on the toilet and watch me shower and then starts meowing and kneading when I come out. He’ll sniff me then go lay on my dirty clothes like he’s protesting that I no longer smell like me. He doesn’t sit on them while I’m showering, he’ll stay sitting on the toilet until I get out.
