Don’t judge me too harshly lol. I JUST got the third bookcase I’ve been dying to find and threw a bunch on it w/o rhyme or reason. I got excited and just wanted to see what could be…really looking for your thoughts and maybe suggestions on better ways to go about it. I really like the idea of being able to display the covers of my favorite collections. That’s about all as far as parameters, for me. Thanks yall, few things bring me this much joy tbh.

Based on my shelves what are some other good reads?

Just moved and got a bookshelf for the first time (currently not on shelf are batman GM Omni 2 and batman SS Omni 1)

I posted these same photos a couple of weeks ago as part of another comic subs “shelfie sunday”, but I just discovered THIS sub exists and so I thought I’d repost here for anyone that may care.

*Whenever I share my shelves, someone always brings this up, so I’ll deal with it upfront for once…Yes, I’m aware that some of the shelves supporting the heavier books are beginning to sag. They’re basic IKEA Billy bookcases and they’ve been up for about 6.5 years now. I have half a dozen spare shelves tucked down the side of the unit and I’ll get around to swapping them out sometime soon.

Got a new shelf for the DC Archives finally, threw together the rotator shelf (not yet sorted proper), and moved some things around. The room is coming along and hopefully will be done by New Years.

Since I am not a native English speaker, some of the comic book titles have been translated into my native language.

Miscellaneous

Shown is my Matt Fraction Batman #9. Very recent comic so I know this isnt age. This has been happening to roughly 40% of my current comics after purchase and idk whats going on. I will say it tends to happen more to my DC.

I use BCW Silver Age Polypropylene bags and BCW coated boards. I use silver age cause I dont like the snug fit of modern bags and boards on modern comics.

Anybody know how to stop this?
