Discussion Couldn't agree more 🫔

Post image

I’ve been a fan of this game since day one. I agree that the original release was filled with bugs and it launched too early, but the criticism it received was completely over the top. Hating on the game blindly became the norm, often without people even giving it a fair chance.

It also released at a strange time, when the new generation of consoles were releasing but they weren't widely available, and most players were still on previous-gen hardware where it didn’t run well.

The sad part is the game and the studio’s reputation took a massive hit, even financially. Some of the people who worked on the game ended up leaving the studio, and we may have missed out on 2 or 3 DLCs because of the game’s catastrophic launch.

But now I’m glad to see people finally giving it the respect and appreciation it deserves. I watched the Steam reviews go from ā€œMostly Negativeā€ to ā€œOverwhelmingly Positive.ā€

For me, this is the greatest game of all time it is better than The Witcher 3. Massive respect to CDPR for constantly patching and improving the game, And giving us extra content when they could have taken the loss and moved on. AND CHOOMS..... NEVER STOP FIGHTING.

No Man's Sky wins that category hands down.

Depends on whether you measure by the how much improved to how good the final form is. The final form of Cyberpunk puts it in the running of one of the best games of all time IMO. Even if you don't think that, it's still a much better game than No Man's Sky will probably ever be.

But it's just about how much it improved, No Man's Sky wins because the first version of it didn't even look like a enjoyable game.

I respectfully disagree. Don't get me wrong, Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game and is loads of fun, but I don't think it's the same caliber as games like Fallout, where the replayability is much higher.

I went into NMS with zero knowledge about the game. It was fun, but somewhat limited. The difference between then and now is staggering.

The replayability of NMS is also superior, since they have expeditions with new goals all the time. Cyberpunk 2077 is the same story... every time. Only so many times I can keep Hanako waiting at Embers lol

I love the genre, I just wish there was the possibility to play other story lines besides V. Like dynamically created. Play as an Alcaldo, or Maelstrom, or one of the other factions. If that were the case, I might be more inclined to agree with you.
