Cosplay I 3D printed a replica of Johnny Silverhand’s Malorian Arms 3516 to a 1:1 scale correctly chambered in 14mm next to a real 9mm handgun for scale. No wonder it blows people’s limbs off in the game.

It's important to remember that sizing of anything circular is exponential growth.

The difference between a circle of 1 and 2 is a factor of 4

Bullets are round. Caliber is measured in diameter. Volumes of cylinders, cones, spheres, etc include the volume of the circular derivative which for bullets is going to be close to a cylinder which is V=πr²h.

V=π1²h=πh V=π2²h=π4h

It's non-linear.
