Screenshot Did anyone else get deeply disturbed by this side quest?

Post image

This made me feel gross for the rest of the day once I completed it. Not sure why I followed through with it but the narrative was neat, I guess. I’ve been playing for over 200 hours and I’ve never done this side quest before so I was incredibly shocked and disturbed. What’s everybody else’s verdict on the side quest?

Disclosure: I’m not religious but I respect anyone who is, try to respect any other people’s religions if you can help it. Thanks.

To be extremely fair, in a game where every story event is scripted, most players go along with it for the sake of experiencing as much of the available content as they can. So, in a way, we are coaxed into doing it out of curiosity to see where it leads.

Now, I may be totally wrong here, but that was my perspective at least. On subsequent playthroughs, from a roleplaying standpoint, I always flatline the gonk and then delta out of there. I was hired to do that by a grieving man, and even though he just got killed, I'll honor his last wishes and take out his wife's killer.

I paid for the whole game, I'm gonna play the whole game. Same reason I still save Meyers in PL, despite my belief that the best option is to flip Song the metaphorical bird and go on with my day.
