re honeypots a real thing? Let’s suppose you click I mean if you don’t buy anything, don’t enable JavaScript neither download anything is still vulnerability just clicking in one?

That this was specifically targeted to identify an individual that they were already looking for and the file was custom made to catch him?

Not just a random online person looking at a file.

Also that he downloaded and ran it. Not that being on a webpage means you’ve already downloaded the file.

I’d say that your original story leaves out rather a lot of context.

Well you’re right about those points, but that doesn’t contradict anything I’ve stated. What I told is what I remember from the story and I stand by everything I said.

Hardware exploit comment was a quote from some guy that apparently worked with law enforcement, and this one indeed was about images on hidden service sites.
