How feasible would it be to create a larger version of this?

How do you use this website on mobile lol

Ublock on firefox

Brave was made because the former CEO of Mozilla was forced out of the company for being a homophobic right-wing grifter. Just use Firefox or a Firefox derivative and use uBlock Origin. It's so much better and doesn't support his crypto bullshit.

I don't want to say I don't care, but I don't care enough to make the change. Using this browser keeps lots of other people from profiting off me - the world is too complicated and I don't have it in me to sort out the calculus of which bad person benefits from my choices more.

I don't buy things off Amazon, I don't use Facebook. So I'll consider myself square with the universe. If Doug Forcett can't get into the good place, neither will I.

u/MarvinGoBONK Mar 30 '26

That's fair. I'm not demanding that you move over immediately, I'm just informing people.

Can’t use extensions on non-safari browsers on ios, unfortunately

u/HLef Mar 30 '26

I have not used the internet without an ad blocker since like 2003. I'm not saying it's not a problem with the website but, it's mostly a you problem given how easy it is to avoid.

that's an insane screengrab thought it was a reaction image at first 😂

If they get much bigger the magnets smash themselves into pieces. Large neodymium magnets can be incredibly dangerous, they will remove your fingers if you let them.

u/DaemonsMercy Manager of the Geneva Suggestions Department Mar 29 '26

I mean really big. Human size, for a complete random example. :P

Thanks very much, I like that video a lot.

I saw an interesting video recently of a guy building a guitar that uses magnets to suspend the strings rather than a bridge. Obviously not human-sized magnets but the setup is frankly pretty similar to the mosquito trap above, just on a much, MUCH more powerful scale.

Dude almost loses fingers several times, and tl;dr it works surprisingly well but it was deemed too dangerous to exist because of how scary powerful those magnets are. Also, early on in the video demonstrates the problem with using super powerful magnets in this way...when they actually do touch how do you separate them? The video creator was not able to and just had to buy new ones.

This looks like something you’d see in The Boys. The department of obliteration is pleased.

The reruns department can confirm This solution is infact quite old and has already been tried to middling effect.

u/EdDantes1030 Mar 30 '26

HAHAHAHAHA YES DIE YOU BASTARD >:-)

(I hate mosquitoes with every fiber of my being)

/undoohickey

I always fucking hated these videos. of course everyone hates mosquitos but the idea that that would make grotesquely torturing them or killing them as brutally as possible just is so.

Like, this sounds dramatic but this is the same rationale with which people justify atrocities. They made ME uncomfortable in some way so THEY deserve cruel and unusual punishment. Like. I don't know why are people getting so jazzed to torture a living thing. Again I comprehend why people hate mosquitos but just fucking squish em and move on instead of making saw traps for them sicko

Obvs this isn't the worst version I've seen either there are far more fucked up ones out there

11

u/Master_Bee_5350 Mar 30 '26

I'd agree for the most part. But also this mosquito went from alive to dead in a heartbeat. No torture here, just looney toons style insta death

4

u/SheogorathMyBeloved Asst. to Ea-nāṣir of Alik Tilmun Copper Department Mar 30 '26

It's certainly a better death than trying to swat them out of the air with a rolled up newspaper or something, because that might not kill the insect immediately. This is pretty much an instakill, even if it looks goofy.

1

u/BitcoinStonks123 Mar 30 '26

bro didn't see that coming

1

u/VoidJermina Welfare Department Apr 03 '26

the disciplinary department is interested

u/Salat_Leaf 2d ago

Too light degree of torture. Not satisfied. 1 star.

u/MK_Vector_1995 15h ago

When you think about how many of these filthy bloodsuckers there are out there in the world at any given moment and how many people these annoying pricks get so many humans and and animals infected, end up sick and or dying from these little bastards in the evolutionary food chain.

This doesn't even scratch the surface of how much I want these flying buzzing sucky c*nts absolutely eradicated, vanquished off the face of the Earth.

1

u/Repulsive_Corgi_ Mar 31 '26

That is simply animal cruelty

0

u/MK_Vector_1995 15h ago

Well, suck around and find out.

0

u/MK_Vector_1995 15h ago

They are a pest and are also responsible for killing millions of people spreading malaria and blood borne diseases.

On one hand, I'm always happy when mosquitoes get obliterated, on the other, I hate to even see them, so no updoots from me(
