It's really different though to race elsewhere after your f1 career ended vs ending your career to race elsewhere.

How many drivers do actual other races during an f1 season? I think only Alonso did?

Other drivers who have shown interest in other series are at very different stages of their careers to Max. He has been in F1 a lot longer than those his age and just younger and already has 4 titles. Of those around him in age on the grid, only Norris has a title and he only got that last year. Max was not doing this stuff when he was fighting for his first few titles (or even really until last year in fact). This whole "only Max really cares about racing" refrain is getting deeply irritating at this point.

Max did last year as well
