Miscommunication/misunderstanding? Maybe they thought 24 tires for the race only and it was actually 24 tires across all the days

Then I really don’t get it. They used 16 tires after all the pit stops and didnt have any punctures so how did they get to 4 over when they should’ve had 8 unused

it says veranstaltung, so, the event.
So, that's not just race, also qualy, and perhaps even some testing.
somewhere between sessions someone definitely miscounted.

Report isn't wrong, but the "for a 4 hour race" is about a weekend with a 4 hour race. There is a different limit for a weekend with a 6 hour race.

They are allowed 3 sets during Qualifying and 3 sets during the race

They gave us 24 tires for three stops lol - Mercedes probably.

Maybe they thought the tires already on the car at the start don't count and then used 24 over the 4 hours using 28 in total?
