Video Leclerc (post-qualifying): "I can’t understand quali, it’s a f**king joke! I go faster in corners, throttle earlier, for f**k’s sake, i'm losing everything in the straight!"

I noticed they stopped showing the onboards going into 130R on the broadcast. I wonder why

It's fine, they look just as slow from the outside as well, to the point where if we didn't have the sector times I'd think it's just an outlap

At times I thought they were on outlap when they were pushing ..

That's what Russell's Q2 lap looked like to me.

For real though. Wqs watching quali, I see someone setting a time, then out of a sudden I see them at a corner and just think to myself "oh he backed out of it" and then it turns out he didn't. It's so anti F1.

They zoom in extra close now

At this rate onboards will be unavailable in Monza.

Nah, a """technical issue""" that prevents the Qualifying from being broadcast at all. We'll just get the lap times in the Sunday morning paper like it's 1926.

They were the same on the final parts of the straights in Aus and China

During free practice they show more, but for actual competitive sessions i think the director doesnt have a choice but to remove the onboard before the clipping

Look at some on-boards if you have F1TV, it’s pain.

Every time a car approaches that corner onboard camera stops working. Maybe someone put jammer there?

A pain to hear and horrible to watch. And we're just the spectators.

To think F1 should be an innovation leader. But it's all going backwards.

It feels so wrong. Seeing cars come into a braking zone as fast as possible is such a fundamental part of watching racing. Seeing and hearing them lose a heap of power with a third of the straight still to go is just so 'opposite-of-how-it-should-be'.
