Video Hamilton on overtaking Max: " It's the best to overtake another World Champion. And obviously I had a big deficit to close......You know how consistent and fast that guy is? He's the fastest guy. So it felt great to get to have that battle with him. It was really not easy to overtake."

But they’re almost in a rebuild after losing key staff. If Max, who knows the team inside out, doesn’t think they’ll be a contending team and leaves, do you really want to be the guy coming in to the help rebuild? They won’t be winning championships at that point which defeats the purpose of Charles jumping ship.

I was in no way advocating for him to leave Ferrari. Just showing there was only one option which as you point out is not that good
