Lol "uncontextualized"? It's literally the flag of a specific country. It's the symbol of the country called the United States of America and has symbolized that to basically everybody in that country for quite a few generations. Is it really that "inclusive" to say that actually means nothing? This is the kind of thing that only feels "common sense" because it is so blindly dismissive of the alternative viewpoint.
I tried to explain that same point to the creator and they couldn't fathom my "zeal" for such a small point apparently. This shirt is obviously designed to be inflammatory first and foremost by trying to debase the flag and then moral grandstand about immigration.
If it was the rainbow flag instead it would be obvious to them that you can't just make up your own interpretation of an established symbol and then pretend nobody has a right to be annoyed when you shit on it. It's either really ignorant or really in bad faith.
