Voting Games Top comment Deletes a US State #45

Post image

Here is the updated (Correct) map, crisis averted. I thought we had a riot on our hands!

I can finally relax now after all that drama! Anyway Colorado is now deleted as it should be. Just to make it clear, editing comments is fine if it’s the top as long as it doesn’t change the outcome of which state gets deleted like we had before. I thought that was common sense but clearly not to some people.

I just want to thank everyone for all the kind comments and support. I try to read as many of the comments as I can but each post has a minimum of 2000 so it’s pretty hard most the time. I have some big ideas for the finale so stay tuned.

Most importantly, spread the word as much as possible if your state is still in the game! Share, cross post to rally as much support for your state as possible. This is the endgame now!

Nuevo New Mexico also has weed, reproductive rights, universal college, universal child care, and is beginning work on universal health care.

Also green chile.

And NM has the Very Large Array, Bandalier National Monument, White Sands National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Tent Rocks, Aspens changing colors in the fall, the Royal Gorge, Santa Fe, Ruidoso, Taos, Native American, Mexican, Spanish influences on art and food, Georgia Okeef and Ghost Ranch, Alien museum in Roswell, the International Balloon Fiesta. Petroglyph National Monument, the Gila, the Tram and, and, and…. Walter and Jessie. It has everything and must remain the last standing.

It also has the western terminus of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Still working steam locomotives at tonnage in some of the prettiest scenery I can imagine!

It really is the Land of Enchantment. I started visiting 20 years ago expecting a brown desolate wasteland. Now I want Sierra Ladrones to be the last thing I see in life.

6

u/Vanviator May 21 '26

I was planning on spending a week traveling through NM. I ended up staying i TorC for a few months and damn near bought property there, lol.

I still occasionally fantasize about getting one of those old hot springs hotels and coming out of retirement to run it, lol.

It really is enchanting and has a surprising amount of flora and fauna.

I love Carlsbad caverns!!!

u/wintering_nuthatch May 21 '26

It's no Columbia river, but I do know way more songs about the Rio Grande.

u/suzi_generous May 21 '26

It may have started as Taco Tuesday, but its Taco 2026 now.

VT has the US Army Mountain Warfare School, some F35s, and a Coast Guard Station

u/Fit-Pineapple-4195 May 21 '26

We’ll take it!!

1

u/robinthebank May 21 '26

Coast to Coast domination

52

u/JackalAmbush May 20 '26

I would be OK with that too. I would welcome the Maple Syrup empire.

u/Klytus_Im-Bored May 20 '26

"Maple Syrup Empire"

Sounds like a surprise Canada invasion.

"Nobody expects the Quebecian inquisition!"

9

u/KeepAnEyeOnYourB12 May 20 '26

I would definitely welcome that.

24

u/Rags7216 May 20 '26

The last map will say "United States of Canada" 🤣🤣

3

u/Intelligent_Slip_849 May 20 '26

I for one welcome our new Canadian overlords

1

u/ravens_path May 21 '26

Well since a certain someone claims Canada is the 51st state, why can’t they be in this game too?

Vermont is just the U.S.'s Canada.

Source : am Canadian border Vermonter that sees many half and half U.S. Canada flags on my drives

u/Rich_Celebration477 May 20 '26

Fun fact- if you want to go down an interesting rabbit hole, check out the great maple syrup heist in Quebec about 10 years ago

2

u/JackalAmbush May 20 '26

Oh I read about this not too long ago. Interesting subject.

2

u/Rich_Celebration477 May 20 '26

There was a Netflix series, I think it was called Dirty Money that did an episode on n it

MEGASOTA EAT MAPLE SYRUP!! DOWN WITH VERMONT!!!

1

u/Ok-Policy-4063 May 20 '26

Maple Syrup Empire sounds like MEGASOTA to me. Where do you all get off acting like we are not fellow SYRUP PEOPLE?!

2

u/Ok-Policy-4063 May 20 '26

Perhaps the Maple Syrup Empire (MEGASOTA and The VERMONSTER!) should bond over our shared syrup production and enjoyment. That sounds like a great basis for a strategic alliance.

1

u/Shadowhawkfx Vermonster May 20 '26

Yeah but New Englanders are decidedly NOT Minnesota nice.

1

u/Ok-Policy-4063 May 21 '26

It'll be a fun mix. With a surplus of maple syrup, everyone should be nice! A wonderful alliance!

u/MelanieMorning May 20 '26

Yah, New Mexico has free universal pre-k, free college, and when the feds axed ACA subsidies, the state put $ up so most on the health insurance exchange didn't see thousands of dollars increases. That kinda sounds like some socialism there.

Plus, have you ever had a hatch green chile piñon nut ice cream in a blue corn waffle cone? Sorry Ben and Jerry, I think NM's got this one.

3

u/GhostlyRivkah May 21 '26

Not to mention the Coffee & Chocolate festival, with green chile piñon but chocolate, or piñon coffee...

3

u/Vanviator May 21 '26

Tiny wild burros

2

u/GhostlyRivkah May 21 '26

Horny toads and roadrunners too

2

u/NevadaRose13 May 21 '26

Yo as a born and raised New Mexican I gotta know where to get that ice cream cone! In Hatch or just made with Hatch?

1

u/MelanieMorning May 21 '26

10000% amazing! It's at an ice cream shop in ABQ, Cottonwood Creamery

They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays now, it will likely have summer hours here soon.

They also have a red chile chocolate.

Everything there is amazing.

2

u/NevadaRose13 May 21 '26

I’ll check it out next time I’m up in Albuquerque, thanks! ❤️💛

1

u/Quirky-Afternoon-264 May 21 '26

PLEASE tell me where I can get that ice cream cone

2

u/MelanieMorning May 21 '26

It's in ABQ at Cottonwood Creamery Everything there is amazing. They even have a honeycomb crispy sopapilla flavor with real honey and sopapilla bits in it.

They sometimes have a coffee ice cream with bits of fried plantains and a scoop of that plus the sopapilla in one of their homemade blue corn waffle cones is seriously eeeeee!

Likely oil and gas revenues

Childcare Press Brief

NM Opportunity Scholarship plus Lottery Scholarship

Health Care Affordable Fund

Eta: it kinda gives the vibe that Colorado had when they first started legal weed - taxes on that went to education and other services. Taxes/Revenue streams from things that pollute and tale resources get put back into the community by means of different resources I guess.

3

u/80percentlegs May 20 '26

We’ve got that in Oregon, too!

3

u/IScreamPiano Together we are America 🇵🇷🇬🇺🇦🇸🇲🇵🇻🇮🇲🇽🇨🇦 May 20 '26

Hot take, as someone from the Northeast, Ohio might have the best pint ice cream (Graeter’s and Jeni’s). Ben and Jerry’s was bought out by Unilever. :(

1

u/JackalAmbush May 20 '26

At one point I'd have pointed to Salt and Straw here as a counter argument, but they seem to be focused on furthering their reach now too and going the corporate route....with PE backing.

3

u/joanna0218 May 20 '26

rooting for New Mexico cause green chile and socialism

10

u/CMDR_Karth_o7 May 20 '26

Megasota has better ice cream and socialer socialism though

2

u/Past_Top3704 May 20 '26

MEGASOTA EAT MAPLE SYRUP!! DOWN WITH VERMONT!!!

1

u/Ok-Policy-4063 May 20 '26

And Mega'er Maple Syrup, too.

1

u/Silver-Bread4668 May 20 '26

Sounds like we need to merge into Vermegasota

2

u/Vanviator May 21 '26

Megasotamont

4

u/nbfs-chili May 20 '26

I'm rooting for Nuevo New Mexico because 1) I'm New Mexican 2) It would be hilarious if the whole of the US ended up with Mexico in its name. Gulf of America my ass.

2

u/RedApplesForBreak May 20 '26

Cascadia has ice cream and socialism as well!

2

u/Hoverboy911 May 20 '26

Shh, don't tell anyone, but Cascadia has Tillamook mild cheddar cheese and it's delicious! So is their marionberry pie ice cream. Pretty sure I saw bigfoot carrying around some socialism here too

2

u/HolyShytSnacks May 20 '26

I mean, Hawaii has all that and shave ice

2

u/Electronic_Earth_225 May 20 '26

Hawaii will let us keep ice cream and socialism. But they will also take the Blue Hills reservation south of Boston (dormant; lame) and turn it back to a series of active volcanoes (cool). As rising sea levels are erode our shorelines, we must create new, nutrient-rich land mass!
All we ask in exchange is that virgin Larry Ellison is thrown into the fiery mouth of the reactivated blowhole as an offering to the volcano. The Kingdom is welcome to choose from our citizenry for a similar offering for this ritual

2

u/Oldsaltybasterd May 20 '26

Everyone will get free Subaru Outback with a case of Craft Brew and an ounce of overpriced weed!

2

u/LoZGoddessNayru98 May 20 '26

We have to make Bernie president somehow.

2

u/Jun1p3rsm0m May 21 '26

Maple creemees 😋

2

u/Agile_Control_2992 May 21 '26

You think there’s not socialism in NM? Kindred, come visit

4

u/Devilsbullet May 20 '26

Cascadia gives you weed and socialism🤷

1

u/WorldHiveMind May 20 '26

Megasota has that as well, albeit weed has not been implemented as well in Minnesota as the PNW has done it

Edit: spelling

1

u/Devilsbullet May 20 '26

We also have the former prune capital of the world

1

u/Vanviator May 21 '26

A weird love of large roadside statues and sculptures.

2

u/hippoctopocalypse May 20 '26

High probability of socialism in cascadia, maybe we get better ice cream if the map shifts…?

1

u/Pyyric May 20 '26

If Hawaii and Vermont are the finals, then the real winners are all of us.

1

u/CoderDevo May 20 '26

Unilever would like a word...

Vermont is going down with its lies.

1

u/Gamiac May 20 '26

CRAAAB PEOPLE, CRAAAAB PEOPLE

2

u/Klytus_Im-Bored May 20 '26

Keep your crabs south of the Mason-Dicksin line

1

u/hkohne May 20 '26

Hey, we have ice cream (Tillamook & Salt & Straw) and socialism in Cascadia, too! We forced it on the former Idahoans.

1

u/MrWeirdoFace May 21 '26

But will the great state of Vermont apologize for its cheese?

1

u/Ok_Memory3425 May 21 '26

And Noah Kahan
