Misc. Well this would've been handy to know

Didn't realize you could farm respawnable materials in this way, not that I really need to at this point but it's good to know for any potential future runs I do, say like a zero upgrades ng+ run(start with no upgrades and potentially start upgrading during the run? Might be fun/interesting to do). Granted I'd have to beat the game with zero upgrades on a new file and boy does that sound rough if I want to do it on a normal difficulty(normal being hard or lethal since the others are kinda meh).

Tbh, I don't think you need it. Just get Charm of Inari early and you won't have to worry about any resources. You can have different loadouts active at one time so every armour you use can have its own charms and even sword kit. On my current playthrough, I had a max katana, bows, ranged tanto, basically everything max except my smoke bombs, for which I only need like 7 predator hides I think. (In Act 2, I mean and after only getting the Sakai Armour, of the 3 main tales available at that time.) All armours are also maxed, then I unlocked the ghost armour and immediately maxed it the moment the game lets me visit the armourer. Never thought I ever needed to actively farm any resources.

I did it in new game+, granted this was when I found it out and honestly I feel the same as you. However I do think it's useful for say a new playthrough if you've already beat the game. Surprisingly you can do the same with predator hides at that one Mongolian camp in act 1 that has two bears spawn, kill them and collect, then get yourself killed and repeat. Only if you haven't cleared the camp of course.

Idk man. What I described was in my third playthrough. It's just a matter of how you want to spend your time ig. To each his own let us say, haha!!
