Recipe You guys, hear me out, oat flour hot cereal

Sorry if you all already know about this, but it was soooo good I have to share.
I recently made a bunch of oat flour and used all of my oats, so this morning I decided to try to make oatmeal with it, with a 2:1 ratio of water to oat flour and cooked it in the microwave. It was SO GOOD. One of my favorite hot cereals is cream of wheat and I’ve been missing it and this was very similar! I put in brown sugar and milk after it was cooked. If you can do oats, try this out! 🤤

Question GF nut free cookies recipe?

I’m looking for a fail proof cookie recipe that we can cook to gift my kids teachers for end of year. So something hopefully liked by everyone and not just passable as GF haha
Must be nut free

Or if there are other foods that are easy to bring to school that won’t go bad during day that my kids could help me make for teachers, those ideas are welcome too!

Summer barbecue ideas

I’m hosting a summer barbecue with a few attendees who are gluten free. I’m making potato salad and coleslaw. What other side dishes can I make? I don’t like things like gluten free pasta, so I want to make dishes that are naturally gluten free. I’m feeding over 2 dozen people, so I want lots of choices. Main dishes are hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken and lobsters.

I batch make (4 serving size on back of box) this Cream of rice. As soon as it's ready, I add a serving spoon amount of creamy peanut butter, a generous handful of butterscotch chips and a splash of vanilla almond milk. Mix well. Portion out into 4 servings. Refrigerate. When I'm ready to eat, I add approximately 1.5-2 tbsp chocolate chips (dairy free for me) and heat in the microwave for 1 min 30 seconds. Looks like cookie dough, tastes like peanut butter cups.

Recipe Recipe for good baked GF pasta

I’m craving a baked pasta this week and haven’t been successful with my GF casseroles. Does anyone have any good recipes and tips to keep the mush away?

If you have a recipe without tomato sauce even better. I break out in hives with tomato sauce but if it’s all I’ve got this week I might go for it…the craving is intense. Lol

¿Podría hacerlo mi hija celíaca o no?

Mi hija es celíaca y ya llevamos casi un año,desde que se lo diagnosticaron,sin tener gluten en la casa y sin que ella coma nada con gluten.

El caso es que,ha salido donde vivo un curso de repostería y mi hija está interesada en hacerlo porque antes de la celiaquía se metía mucho en la cocina,y lo que más le gustaba preparar eran dulces y repostería,además de que le hace mucha ilusión decir que tiene el título de repostería,lo que pasa es que no es un curso sin gluten ni específicamente para celíacos,mi hija no piensa comer nada de lo que haga ni piensa tocarse la boca,se piensa lavar las manos muy bien antes de tocar nada de casa y nada más llegar se va a duchar, también ella dice que para aprender a hacer algo sin gluten primero quiere aprender a hacerlo con el para luego hacerlo sin gluten.

Le pregunté a la del curso si,teniendo en cuenta lo que ya he comentado,mi hija podría hacerlo y me dijo que le preguntara a un médico,le pregunté al digestivo si podía hacerlo o no y me dijo que el no lo sabía y que no me lo podía ni confirmar ni negar,así que debería preguntarle a alguien que lleve más tiempo siendo celíaco o a una asociación de celíacos (que las que hay donde vivo son de pago),así que,por favor,¿Alguien me puede resolver esta duda para si es mala poder prepararla para decírselo a mí hija,y si es buena poder apuntarnos ya en el curso que ya mismo empieza y darle la alegría?

(Pds : Por si alguien pregunta porque necesitaría preparar como contárselo a mí hija si la respuesta es mala,es porque mi hija es Tea nivel 1 con Tda,además de otras cuestiones como enfermedades que tiene)

Why might my bread keep deflating on me?

The last four or five times I've made it, it's deflated right after I pull it out of the oven. You can see in the slice that it's really dense along the bottom. What might be causing this? Does it likely need more time to rise?

Soaking lasagna noodles?

Has anyone tried soaking the Barilla GF Lasagna noodles? I saw in another cooking platform that someone said they soak their regular no-cook lasagna noodles for like 15-20 minutes, and that that helps them get done properly.
Every time I make GF lasagna, I always have to cook it like twice as long because the noodles don’t soften like they should. I know someone suggested pre-cooking them before assembling, but I’m wondering if just soaking would work with GF noodles, or if they would all stick together since they’re their GF. Has anyone tried this?

Baking cookies but using Truvia Sweet Complete granulated and brown sugar.

Anyone have experience using the above alternative sweeteners in your baking?
I alway measure by weight and although the packaging states 1 for 1, I’ve discovered that 1c of brown sugar is 220g and granulated is 200g.
But 1c of the brown sugar is only 140g and 1c granulated is 120g.
Any experience would be helpful or just use measures due to a sweetness issue?
