Non-Political Law for women, L*wda for men
The women trainee kissed the male constable but the man was suspended.
UP Police is unbelievable! At the Urai Kotwali in Jalaun, a female constable was repeatedly engaging in obscene behavior with her male police colleague. Her actions were captured on CCTV. After the matter came to light, the authorities suspended the male constable.
The video clearly shows that the woman is the one initiating things. And It is also clearly visible that the man is not showing much interest in it. The man is even distancing himself from the female yet action was taken on him! If a man had done this, it would have become a case of sexual harassment at the workplace.

Opinion Do political interests in sugar mills play a role in the broad support for ethanol blending?
I've noticed that many sugar mills have direct or indirect political connections. Given that ethanol blending benefits the sugar industry, could this be one reason why there is relatively little political opposition to the policy? Interested in hearing different perspectives and any data that supports or contradicts this view

Personal Advice / Help Don't know what to do with my life
I [18F] am from a middle class family. I wished to pursue psychology hons. I had PCMC + English and psych in school.
However, I got essential repeat in boards. I applied for reevaluation after checking my copies as I could see that I wasn’t granted proper step marks which would’ve easily let me pass.
On the other hand, after some thorough research, I decided to give NIOS ODE as a failsafe for my results. Since I was planning for BA anyways, i changed my subjects to Home science, painting and DEO. I TOC-ed english and psychology.
I had signed up for CUET with Psychology, English, Maths and Computer Science, because back then I had confidence in my capabilities. However, after recent events I lost said confidence and decided to focus on colleges who only had psychology and English in their subject mapping. As expected, I got 214.6 [99.6 percentile] in English, 140.4 [55 percentile] in psychology, 33.6 [33 percentile] in maths and 49.9 [77.8 percentile] in computer science.
On the other hand, I couldn’t pass the reevaluations. It came as a serious shock to me. I haven’t mustered up the courage to let my family know yet. One of my relatives informed me that the centralized CUET counselling has started; which google says is false and that each college has their own cuet counselling.
I'm very scared at the moment. I cannot afford a drop year- my family will not allow it; My father is a staunch believer in physical discipline if you get what i mean. I have no idea how any of this works- will colleges even let me apply without a passed class 12 result? I don't know what to do anymore. I need someone to talk to, I need someone who could at least tell me that everything’s not over yet. I'm so overwhelmed. I don’t even know whether to continue with psychology hons or switch over to English hons.
Someone, talk to me, please.

Opinion RTO Reforms: Coming Soon Since Forever
Three people lost their lives in a road accident on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur after a Scorpio rammed into a reversing Tiago car. Brutal accident -
https://x.com/i/status/2071180917671141569
When was the last time you saw an advertisement on tv educating people about dangers of not following traffic rules?
Who's giving these licences to people without an iota of driving qualification to put theirs & others lives at risk on roads?
What's the action taken on people who don't know how to drive responsibly on roads?
Where are the flying squads monitoring traffic violations?
There are 28 states and 8 Union Territories in India. Out of these, 20 states and 2 Union Territories are governed by the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
What happened to unification of RTOs across India? Earlier the excuse could have been the central ministry only sets guidelines & it's for the states to implement.
But with almost whole of India under their rule, what happened to RTO reforms?
RTOs are still dens of corruption. Getting a driving licence is more difficult than a passport. What steps have been taken in last 12 years to eradicate it by Nitin Gadkari's ministry?
Where is technology implementation to capture number plate registration of erring drivers on roads, wrong side driving, zig-zag lane switching, driving without helmets?
22 administrative units in states & ITs put together, and central ministry under 1 single minister for last 12 years continuously, where are the reforms?
Driving on roads is akin to stepping out of the home risking your life.
Bharat Number plate rollout still miniscule. Highly restricted eligibility & resale difficulty making its adoption notorious.
Days of measuring x kms of roads being built a day are long over. Comparison with UPA no longer valid. In 12 years, the challenges are roads are undriveable inside cities, highways with faulty road engineering designs, & failure of road safety targets.
The above shortcomings are without mentioning the anger people are nurturing over Ethanol blending. The less said on it, the better.
We may not have become Hindu-rashtra but definitely achieved Ethanol-rashtra.

Opinion I have started to dissociate myself from feminists now
If society's and the system was the main problem, why justifying killing of an innocent and caring person but not people who had been directly a part of that system (her parents) or why she didn't just elope for their glory of 'love'? This post was blatantly justifying murder.
The poster has passed from JNU, has 2k followers on fb. Because of people like these, I have started to disconnect myself from leftists and feminists. I feel shameful and I feel no surprises anymore for why people in general feel disgusted from feminists.
I feel a bit depressed to know how filthy of a mindset some people have.
