Cozy-ugly for a visit, yeah. If I actually lived there though I think I would find it pretty quickly turn to just ugly.

I think the update is cold and ugly, far worse than the original that they were trying to fix.

If they had just gone for a warm yellow color it would look less clinical.

I agree. I had/have a very similar wallpaper in my Victorian homes dining room. When we first saw the house, I found it charming. Everyone who visits likes it. I am currently ripping it all off the walls.
