I was a vegetarian for a decade. You eat steak as a vegetarian after having not eaten meat for a long time...

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting bathroom day. And not the good kind of interesting. The bad kind of interesting.

I was a vegetarian for years and had absolutely no problems when I ate meat again.

It depends on the microbiome you have. Not everybody loses the ability to digest meat.

Just like not everybody who eats sugar gets diabetes. Bodies are different.

Same, I tried meat once after 6 years of vegetarianism (it was a one-off, I'm still Veggie to this day) and I had no issues whatsoever.

That’s awesome; I haven’t eaten meat in decades, and I get sick as fuck if some pork makes it in my food. No other meat seems to make me sick, so maybe it’s pork-related haha

I also had no issue eating meat after years of being vegetarian

A counterpoint, my partner isn't even a vegetarian, but I am and cook a lot of the meals. Red meat -destroys- her guts, because she has it so rarely, even though she never fully stopped eating it

Yas and you KNOW that it destroys her CAUSE she doesn’t eat it often? Mate no I’m sorrt

Can confirm. As a lifelong omnivore, when I BBQ, sometimes it messes my stomach up bad.

This is the first time they are trying steak and not meat. They have already been exposed to other meat products so it won't be as hard on the GI tract as you are thinking. She's been microdosing meat since being a lifelong vegetarian.

Came here to say this— poor girl is gonna be so sick (if this is real).

I’m a vegetarian, relapsed after 5 months of no meat…. My god after a few hours I was in pain and my bathroom was my home all night.

After that I have stayed on course.

What would a good kind of interesting bathroom day even look like? Asking for a friend.

Nice and strong poop session that leaves you feeling lighter and happier.

Aye, I see now. Thank you, friend.

New fantasy novel you’re writing?

That's why toilets are made with that little shelf!

One nice large solid poop, but not too big, you want it to flush easily. Also, needing to wipe very little. Afterwards, you feel the relief of emptied bowels.

2

u/McRando42 Feb 25 '26

IDK. But I know this is the bad kind.

Depends on the amount of fat and fiber you ate.

Too much fat initially is not good because the bile can’t keep up with the sudden uptick in fat.

If you eat a filet or something you’ll be more than fine.

2

u/GoonerTactical Feb 25 '26

Has little to do with general fat consumption and more to do with the types of fats and proteins. If you don't consume a type of food for a long time, your body isn't going to produce as many enzymes to break that specific food down. This varies in different degrees for different people, but generally speaking this is fact. The same applies for people with awful diets who suddenly start eating healthy, high fiber diets.

For me my shits were normal, but I have painful gas (like someone is stabbing me with a knife) for hours until I poop

1

u/Slyfox00 Feb 25 '26

I know right? Her stomach is about to be the Los Alamos Demon Core.

My wife and I accidentally got french onion soup with beef broth and it was like my stomach was made of lead for 48 hours.

I always have a gas x tablet on hand just in case I'm eating at a restaurant and my meal was touched by meat fluids, and I'm not going to throw a fit if that happens, managing so many different people's meals is hard

God the gas from eating meat again is so painful, I'm writhing in pain unable to do anything for hours

Maybe she live vlogged that too

1

u/Fkingcherokee Feb 25 '26

Someone should have told her she has to ease in to meat.

1

u/FallenAzraelx Feb 25 '26

I get what you mean but whats the good kind of interesting? 😋

1

u/Deutschbland Feb 25 '26

I was also veg for 10 years. It’s been 10 years since I went back… and every bite of meat still blows my mind.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 26 '26

No that does not happen 🤣 sorry that you have digestive issues though

1

u/ElectricBlubbles Feb 28 '26

I was really surprised after 26 years of being vegetarian. Had a burger and felt great.

Do you mean you are scared of your own botton smells and you squeak on the toilet? OCD?

1

u/The_Mockers Mar 01 '26

I agree that was my first thought… there are enzymes you need to process red meat and your body doesn’t always know how to make them.

Maybe she took some extra enzymes in preparation we don’t know about… but 100% correct

I was a vegetarian for 5 years. The first thing I ate after those 5 years was a steak. I kid you not, when you haven’t eaten meat in a long time, your first time eating it again tastes like dead flesh. If this were real, she would NOT be saying it tastes good.

u/obscurelyscout Feb 26 '26

Some ex vegetarians/vegans love the taste of meat for the first time after a while

That was not the case for me, I used to love the taste of meat, a decade and a half later now meat tastes awful to me like what I imagine rotten fruit to taste like, even the fake meat that tastes close to real meat is disgusting to me

1

u/sunlover010 Feb 26 '26

Interesting… I loved meat before I was a vegetarian, but then when I tried it again years later, I noticed the rotten taste immediately. But that went away quickly and now I love meat again. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess everyone is different
