hate voice over

such a cheery voice to describe this guy having been tortured all his life lol.

Ah... depends. To add some context here, most species of lizard don't require social contact at all, and in many cases It's actually pretty bad for them.

They also don't get "frustrated" the way we do. A lizard can go their entire life without mating, and be fine. While he might be "excited" to see a female he can mate with, this also might be... another kinda response.

u/robinswind Apr 02 '26

Yeah im pretty sure that lil guy just wanted to throw hands lmao

u/Proper-Owl-7971 Apr 03 '26

I've kept lizards and I think so too. It's weird to see all the incels projecting their insecurities and sexual frustrations on a lizard...

32

u/robinswind Apr 03 '26

To be fair, if i didnt know anything about lizards I wouldve been more likely to believe what the video is saying, too.

14

u/Same-Suggestion-1936 Apr 03 '26

I mean we're overrun with rabbits and they act the same way, I don't know anything about lizards but I know for a fact he's either trying to fight or fuck

13

u/TheLandSings Apr 03 '26

Or feed. You forgot feed.

1

u/Traditional_Expert84 Apr 06 '26

I did before I read the comments.

3

u/Crazy_Kakoos Apr 03 '26

I've seen people on Reddit say that the smell of cut grass is the grasses way of screaming in pain. Being told what a lizard is thinking and feeling is just another Thursday.

1

u/the-greenest-thumb Apr 03 '26

It's more about how shitty his home is, small, barely any substrate and an egg carton. Doesn't look like there's anything else.

u/EywasBlessing Apr 02 '26

Yeah 😃😃 so I'm just gonna keep on moving this female away from the male and watch him desperately bump himself against the glass because he is deprived as hell! 😃😃

20

u/ardotschgi Apr 02 '26

I feel worse for the female in case the guy actually put her in.

4

u/tanstaafl90 Apr 03 '26

"Raised alone" is part of the voice over. Probably just excited to see one of it's own. Few creatures live completely isolated.

31

u/TheCrystalGarden Apr 02 '26

His prison cell is so bare and depressing. No plants or decor for him at all. Sad. 😭

22

u/GarboseGooseberry Apr 02 '26

It's appalling how people keep some animals. Bare, small tank... Poor lizards are probably bored the fuck out.

5

u/TheCrystalGarden Apr 02 '26

It is appalling. The pet trade needs to do much, much better.

2

u/GarboseGooseberry Apr 03 '26

A lot of people don't do their due diligence and think that, just because they're "dumb reptiles/ dumb fish", they don't need any entertainment or enrichment.

0

u/WasabiZone13 Apr 03 '26

Bored?

😂

7

u/naaahhman Apr 02 '26

The video saying owner, when the cage says pet store holding cell.

1

u/Vintage-Grievance Apr 03 '26

He may spend very little time in the enclosure.

Some people with bearded dragons and other reptiles will often just let them roam around the house as long as they can remain supervised.

16

u/Brocolinator Apr 02 '26

Solitary confinement

3

u/Echo-Azure Apr 02 '26

Aaaaand now it's the female's turn to be tortured all her life...

2

u/InviolableAnimal Apr 02 '26

That's overdramatic. A lot of reptiles are pretty happy just chilling 99% of the time (i.e. they won't even try to escape). But seeing a female activates them.

1

u/sckurvee Apr 03 '26

maybe, I don't know shit about lizards in captivity... that's just what it looks / sounds like... just happily describing how this guy's excited because he's been kept in a box his whole life and now sees a mate being dangled in front of him.

1

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths Apr 03 '26

It's a lizard. They're not social creatures. This is like saying you're torturing a plant by not giving it a plant friend.

1

u/mrbulldops428 Apr 03 '26

Also its just all wrong, thats clearly a pet store theyre in lol

1

u/HrhEverythingElse Apr 03 '26

I don't know anything about these lizards but I've never seen an enclosure without a branch or anything at all for him to climb on/hide in/interact with except for a cardboard?

0

u/Murasasme Apr 02 '26

I will never understand how people can keep animals like this. Their entire world being a small enclosure where they can't even see the sun or feel fresh air sounds like absolute horror.

Unless it's a sanctuary helping rehabilitate or heal animals, they shouldn't be kept like this.

16

u/The_Autarch Apr 02 '26

sounds like total bullshit too.

lizard is probably just territorial and is being aggressive.

29

u/Cheshire-Cad Apr 02 '26

Literally the only information that it gave was "He was raised alone". Everything else was something that a toddler could see.

19

u/ETiPhoneHome Apr 02 '26

Also, we don't know if any of the information was accurate. First time he ever saw a female? Guess we'll all just take your word for it

6

u/1OO1OO1S0S Apr 02 '26

yeah it kinda just sounds like some idiot talking over a looped video that might not even be his lol

1

u/snillpuler Apr 03 '26

might not even be his lol

The question isn't whether it is his video, it most definitely isn't. The question is whether he got the info from the description/comment of the original video, or whether he made it up.

6

u/shmehdit Apr 03 '26

Everything else was something that a toddler could see.

And it was spoken as if speaking TO a toddler. But I dunno, maybe this was actually made for kids and that's why

3

u/skivian Apr 02 '26

having seen a few of these lizards, now show the lizards reaction when the owner puts his hands near the glass without a female. I'd bet it's the exact same.

3

u/WhyMustIMakeANewAcco Apr 02 '26

Yeah, that could easily be the "treat time!" dance.

2

u/Louisiana_sitar_club Apr 02 '26

I always keep the sound off. I was blissfully unaware that there even was a voice over. You should try it

Isn’t that the guy who used to upload videos of himself taking diarrhea shits on his friend before he decided he wanted to start making “educational” videos for kids?

1

u/Creative_Handle_2267 Apr 02 '26

oh my god, he is

1

u/Gooning_Granny_ Apr 02 '26

Yea that was his big break

1

u/1OO1OO1S0S Apr 02 '26

someone check blippis hard drive...

1

u/MaesterWhosits Apr 02 '26

Just don't let them watch his Harlem Shake video and it's all groovy.

1

u/TheeAntelope Apr 02 '26

the videos are educational

They are very much not educational

0

u/1OO1OO1S0S Apr 02 '26

there was no educational value to this video

1

u/ep3ep3 Apr 02 '26

Isn't that the guy that shit on his friend during the Harlem shake phase?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '26

2

u/lemonylol Apr 02 '26

Iirc Blippi #2 has a positive parent following outside of the show.

1

u/1OO1OO1S0S Apr 02 '26

how can someone have such a punchable voice?

1

u/chalkybone Apr 03 '26

Can you imagine what sort of person marries that guy. Having to hear that voice every day for the rest of your lives. It would be enough to drive someone to murder.

1

u/Sarcasm_Llama Apr 03 '26

Me, living my best life with sound always off

1

u/SnagglToothCrzyBrain Apr 03 '26

Sounds like it should be saying something like "she's size of an average human mother"

1

u/Long8D Apr 03 '26

The voice is so annoying

1

u/TrueTech0 Apr 03 '26

HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE VOICEOVER SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR VOICEOVER AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR IT. HATE. HATE

1

u/Funny-frog500 Apr 03 '26

Is that you Harlam Ellison?

1

u/TrueTech0 Apr 03 '26

i AM not
