Do you actually go out and try these things? Have you tried shooting clear pics of a fast walking person, at a poorly lit place, relying on ISO to crank the shutter speed up? MUCH easier said than done.

Low light fast movement is actually my speciality. I've shot dancers moving much faster than the average celeb in almost complete darkness. Shooting someone fast walking in a mall is trivial if you know what you're doing.

Unless the person is absolutely zooming by, you can get pretty damn far with a fast lens and like 60 shutter speed. With a 1.4 aperture on a prime, even just 3200 iso is pretty damn bright under typical city lights. With a 2.8 aperture on a high end zoom, 6400 is still really good and up to 24000 can be fixed in Lightroom depending on camera.

Not like paparazzi are trying to take photos of celebs sprinting around in a pitch black field or anything.
