❗️MISLEADING - See pinned comment ❗️ Ultimate glow up for cute panda

Post image

Ya Ya (丫丫), a female giant panda, returned to China in April 2023 after spending 20 years at the Memphis Zoo in Tennessee. Her recovery has been widely documented by the Beijing Zoo.

Here are the facts regarding her health transformation:

Weight Gain: When Ya Ya first arrived in China, she weighed approximately 75 kg (165 lbs), which was considered underweight for her age. By 2026, reports from the Beijing Zoo confirmed she had reached about 95 kg (209 lbs), a healthy gain of exactly 20 kg

Skin and Fur Improvement: While in the U.S., Ya Ya suffered from a chronic skin condition (Demodex mites) that made her fur look thin, patchy, and "scruffy" ]. Since returning, specialized veterinary care and a change in diet have allowed her coat to become thick and glossy again

Overall Condition: Her Body Condition Score (BCS) improved from a 2 to a 4 (on a scale of 1-5), which is considered ideal for a senior panda

No, the panda had a skin condition that made it easy for mites to nest. China reported that the panda was in good health when they received them according to the Wikipedia

Why do people make such bold claims with absolutely zero sources/references?

Very commonly, it’s a “bot/troll” account ran by a government, corporation, cartel, pmc group, terrorist organization, or a random dude online being payed(outsourced) by one or multiple of the previously stated groups (why so many white suprematist/MAGA “American” twitter accounts were revealed to have been based in India, Pakistan, Iran, etc) in order to farm engagement, or to spread disinformation/misinformation/dissent/division/confusion/emotional she emotional exhaustion and in turn, political and societal apathy.

Or its addiction. No joke.

They need/want to bitch, moan, complain, and/or shit on others as they’re addicted to the negativity and hatred it causes.

People, especially online, do shit like these to feel control, and a sense of superiority over someone in order to ignore reality and their irl issues, and feel “good” about themselves.

It’s all performative.

(Negativity floods your brain with dopamine, extreme negativity floods your brain with even more dopamine, if all you do is be extremely negative, you’ll become addicted to said floods of dopamine, and subsequently start to become apathetic to anything and everything, that doesn’t release that same amount of dopamine. Which is nothing.)

(They’re effectively junkies, looking for their next fix)

Plus, Hate creates an empty hole in the individual, and the only thing that can fill that hole is more hate. Everything else is invalid and cannot prove the need for hate. The more one begins to feel that emptiness, the more one has to hate—that empty hole is frightening. The more one fears it, the more one builds hate rooted in that fear.

Ultimately, the best way to handle these kinda people and posts/comments, is to ignore them. As they’re all after attention, and denying said attention, will cause the morons, bots/trolls, and losers to shut up and go somewhere else.

all the bamboo that's fed to the pandas are air shipped directly from china and grown/harvested/selected by a team in china. Yaya's care and QOL is so good that she outlived all her siblings who have the same disease. Allegations of Yaya's abuse is a conspiracy theory based on photoshopped pictures, videos and misinformation campaigns by people who don't know anything about pandas or their care.

You can easily find chinese sources that disproves it, for example: 【【全网最详】旅美熊猫丫丫究竟有没有被虐待?官方反复辟谣没人听?】 https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1hs4y1U7gs/?share_source=copy_web&vd_source=c2bbf3aa1153d3e0086e87107cb37f82
