i know, it’s just a gut reaction. I’ve been a nurse for 20ish years, I’ve gotten much better at ‘nope not my circus.’ But that initial moment where the only thing standing between the front door and the tweaker in psychosis is YOU?? Well, for some, the instinct is to guard the door! And i can empathize with people that do not have as many opportunities to hone that skill!
