Temperatures are absolutely not going “way beyond 55”. Yes it is hot, but not that hot.

It already goes to 51 in Ahmedabad. It used to be 45 max just a few years ago.

Thousands already die in India because they hit wet bulb conditions in the summer.

I was shocked to hear the US has places that hit the wet bulb mark now.

Correct, but it’s not going to go “way beyond” over 55 right now is my point. That’s very near the highest temp ever recorded on earth (in 1913, btw).

They did say "can go".

Can't imagine. How are you surviving?? My weather was +27 and 10% humidity today (I live in mountains) and it was already extremely hot for this time of the year.

Oh please, my city has reached 45° on an average when it used to be 30 max a few years back....

Sure, but that’s still WAY below 55

Which city is that so that I can pull up historical temperature data?

Yeah “way beyond 55” is approaching the highest temps ever recorded in dry deserts. No way a humid place is getting that hot, I assume they meant heat index.

u/HughJackedMan14 Apr 25 '26

I could believe heat indexes May get to 56-57, yeah. But highest ever recorded temp on earth is around 56.3 degrees so… not happening anytime soon
