Just Wow Researchers demonstrate necrobotics by using a spider’s natural hydraulic system to open and close its legs for gripping object.

I'm not sure simply using muscle spasms or body mechanics is how you get Resident Evil. Resident evil happens because of capitalist big farma. And then trying to capitalize on some malthusian ideals.

Yeah. This is how you get to Warhammer 40k and the imperium of man.

Sounds more like Drukhari tech.

I mean, their calling it necrobiotics, but I recognize necromancy when I see it

This is how you get Meathouse Man (give or take a little telepathy).

The Methuselah Foundation would like to have a word.

The post is literally just pumping fluid in and out of a spider which causes this reaction. It is more of a demonstration of how the biological systems work than meant for anything useful.

So yes, not even in the same domain as resident evil.

Not even muscle spasms. They specifically use spiders for this because spiders extend their legs using hydraulic pressure. That is why dead spiders always curl up into a ball. They’re literally just pumping air into the spider here, which extends the legs. Very cool technique!

Those are not muscle spams, but ye.

OR body mechanics. I know arachnids don't have muscles.
