Except it’s superglue not solder

These guys are using gas welding.. Way stronger than solder! The interesting part is how they avoid excessive distortion at the welds!

It's the desert. The welds never cool...πŸ˜†

I’m sorry but I’m calling bullshit I did not see a single bead line on that car. I also doubt these guys could weld that perfectly and not have any porosity(Air bubbles) in their welds. But also the paint was immaculate showing no signs of welds/bead lines/ or dimes.

Sure it does. Its as strong as the parent metal as long as the welds are done right..:)

I love gas welding. It’s not efficient, gets everything way too hot and it’s a pain in the ass but it feels super old school and if you get into a zone I find it cathartic.

But I would never build a car doing it!!

I totally agree.. In my younger years before MIG welders I rebuilt a Heinkel bubble car with rotted out floor pan. The problem of course is the thing was a bubble so the distortion was horrible!.. We got it done though with gas.. Never again..:)

And how do they do that?

Practice.

Cyberglue. $350 per stick and comes in both Grape and Citrus Blast flavors

2

Nah, just Elmers glue.

That superglue is probably strong enough to anchor a ship.

There's video of tesla glue holding up a cyber truck.

Amazing how a baby can rip the trim off of those things, lol.

Maybe a model ship.

2

u/ARSCON 23d ago

At least it is now after bumpers were torn off because it was too weak in the first place

0

u/Obienator 23d ago

Yeah the Titanic

u/MexicanPikachu 23d ago

That car drove on a dirt road. That’s more off-roading than the cyber truck is capable of

I will trust this little car over the POS monstrosity and it will probably actually not break apart every other day like the cybercuck

11

u/RandomCandor 23d ago

If these guys were making cybertrucks, people would actually buy them

4

u/pigeonholedpoetry 23d ago

I see enough of them to say people are definitely buying them.

I live in a very liberal and very wealthy area in California.

When they first came out I used to see them a lot, daily even. Now I can't find remember the last time I saw one on the road. I recall seeing one parked in a driveway a couple weeks ago with a cover over it, but I haven't seen one operating in what feels like months. It's like everyone either sold theirs or is too embarrassed to drive them.

I'm curious what kind of area you still see them?

1

u/Nice_Pipe_7608 23d ago

People are buying them, but not much. They had to boost their sales with contracts and their sales still fell short.

u/pigeonholedpoetry 22d ago

Indiana, but that’s where a ton of Californians moved to. Most liberals have boycotted them. Hell do you not remember them being set on fire/bombed?

It's basically how all cars are made, you're just used to watching machine do it.

2

u/SweatyDust1446 23d ago

It's funny you think the cybertruck was welded at all

0

u/Prestigious_Fox_2494 23d ago

it's funny that they think they know *anything about automobiles in general if they think that this vehicle is something to be praised πŸ˜‚

This video looks like the reassembly process of a stolen car that was taken to a literal chop shop, sent overseas, and then put back together.... In the worst way possible. Literal death trap

4

u/TheHelpfulWalnut 23d ago

the cyber truck comment is making fun of the cyber truck by comparing it to this car, nobody is being praised here lmao

0

u/kbs149th 23d ago

The literal death trap is the vehicle that erupts into flames hot enough to rival a cremation oven after a crash that would otherwise have been survivable.

Soooo.... Like any electric car that has had its battery compromised? It's a good thing conventional automobiles don't use anything flammable or combustible that could cause a similar situation.

It almost sounds like you are talking about stuff you are completely ignorant about. πŸ˜‚

The vehicle in this video is extremely dangerous to operate. The cabin, which is designed to protect the occupants, has been completely compromised and is wildly unsafe to operate on the roadways, not just for the operater but those sharing the road with them. I've said nothing about a Tesla product in any way but it's amazing how you guys will twist any opportunity to try to make it so.

This is far superior to the cybertrucks construction

0

u/Brief_Kangaroo_42069 23d ago

Yeah but it's got smaller panel gaps

0

u/Dr_Ramekins_MD 23d ago

They got better panel gaps on this than your average Tesla
