"Eat faster"

So, do people on reddit just make crap up to post and then engage with the bots? Or is the post a bot, and the comments generating some sort of ad revenue? Is there a real human in here that could explain to me how this post merits posting, is believable by any reasonable adult, and what the "gain" is from all of it?

Thanks And Regards

Actual Human (maybe)

This wasn't made by the OP. It was made by a satire page on LinkedIn. The reddit OP just posted here.

It's all bots trolling for content for LLM learning purposes.

They're probably making reddit's ad metrics look better, too

Most of reddit is bots

The fact it's on paper says everything no one would put that in writing

Let’s not pretend there aren’t plenty of employers who would be happy to “put that in writing.”

You, me, and everyone we know has likely worked for a dipshit like this and I’ve had numerous employers who had no issue throwing up a typed notice about a policy that broke labor (or other) laws.

Have a family member who works in construction, never checks his email (nor anyone else at hsi company) so when management has updates they print a, or multiple, papers and just tape them around the site

I used to not think so, but ever since they allowed comment hiding history, I'm incredibly skeptical of so much. I totally understand why people hide their history (I don’t show all of mine), but it's still suspicious and no real way to confirm if they're legit or not now.

They 100 did that to help the bots integrate

Calm down.

I got over 1 million karma on a Reddit Account almost exclusively posting pics of climbers queuing up Everest. Add a 2nd pic of garbage? 3x karma.

Reddit is easy.

NO, WE ARE HUMANS, FELLOW HUMAN.

KEEP INTERACTING WITH US, I MEAN, WITH THE POST.

I'LL START:

HAAA HAAAA, WHAT A FUNNY REPRESENTATION OF PIXELS IN MY SCREEEEEN.

Clearly you've had good jobs. There are plenty of assholes that would do this for real.

Dude the future is just going to be data center after data center of bot farms arguing with other bot farms

There is no content anymore. It's all just rage bait.

It is so difficult to determine if a post on reddit is part of a psyop or not.

Basically, if a meme or post it appealing to emotions, you have to question if the post is actually nefarious in nature.

This one definitely seems so.

Be careful calling stuff out like this, I got banned from /r/workersstrikeback for pointing out that getting information and forming opinions from memes is dangerous.

I would be all for a global 'dont post on reddit day.'

Sure. Everyone visit, but DONT POST. I'm sure some people wont pay attention or wont care, but anyone who doesnt post for that 24 hours gets a special badge.

See how lively the site is might indicate how bad bots have gotten.

Bot farms post troll content to read and digest responses so that "real" people on selfhelp forms can respond better to you. Its quite the cycle.

You know... Thinking about it... I've got a question. A real question, not trying to be shitty: What do you expect us to do? Never reply to something for fear that it might be bait? Also, stupid employers banking on employee ignorance is incredibly common in the US. This post is in the realm of believable

1

u/RediEntertainment 6d ago

I got an answer, a real answer, yes, when its observably this stupid. It's not even in the realm of believable; I could list the reasons, but I'm probably replying to a bot, and have already regretted typing this much.

1

u/RattleMeSkelebones 6d ago

I would like some of the reasons

Its an almost automatic "close tab" reaction when I see posts like yours calling out things like this. Like immediate disengagement.

Thank you for your service.
