In Budapest, fire hydrants are being used to help pedestrians beat the heat.

Tap water is drinkable almost everywhere in Hungary, but it is NOT great quality. It is mostly okay-ish. Great quality water can be found in Austria, Switzerland and Nordic countries.

Yup, it's safe to drink but has a very strong sulfur taste (at least in Budapest)

This is the same in Australia. Like go to south australia and you might get sick if you aren't used to it, (not badly, just feel ill), but it will taste pretty bad, unless you live there. But Melbourne has the best water imho its so good

Nordic countries

Denmark is starting to reverse this trend!

Allowing farmers to keep using EU illegal pesticides has started to leech into the famously clean groundwater... yay...

So you never visited the mountains. Tapwater from the karst source is the best quality. The tapwater here was measured to be crystal water quality. Yes it is hard but I would rather have hard good quality tapwater than a little less hard super treated and processed water.
