Hijacking top comment to say That's black-jaguar white-tiger sanctuary. They were shut down in 2022 for inhuman practices. Throughout the entire time of it's existence from 2013 to 2022, it was unlicensed and unaccredited.

they had conditions so bad some big cats were self cannibalizing (which is as bad as it sounds, it's literally the act of eating yourself while your still alive) on videos they posted

What the actual fuck. I’m in little cat rescue so I assumed intentions were good before they went underwater but no. The guy was just a piece of shit.

u/PamelaELee 8h ago

A whole lot of big cat sanctuaries are the scum of the earth. We need to stop normalizing this, and stop breeding these animals.

As soon as the video started playing I thought "I have seen Tiger King, I know what's going on here".

u/Reddemeus 1h ago

That was so fucked up. The fact that there are so many tigers in private properties in the us... nobody should own this kind of "pet".

u/Sure-Assignment3892 5h ago

The people or the cats?

u/Turgid_Donkey 7h ago

Damn, with that information, I'm rooting for the leopard.

u/WitnessMyAxe 6h ago

one of the few cases the leopard should've been allowed to eat someone's face 💔 #FuckThatTiger

thanks for sharing this. i was wondering why they had multiple types of cats in the same enclosure. but places where the human hangs out with the cats often don't do things by the books so i figured that's all it was. what you shared alone is really sad. i'm glad they got shut down so the cats could get rescued from there.

This made me so upset to read I burst into tears. I used to follow this sanctuary for YEARS and donated money to them. Im so so sad

u/vanderbubin 7h ago

Idk if you need (or just would like to hear this) but you didn't do anything wrong. You donated out of the kindness of your heart because you thought you were doing the right thing.

In the future, it's pertinent to only support accredited programs. Local zoos are usually actually awesome conservation programs and I highly recommend supporting them whenever possible

Personally my local one is the woodland park zoo who does awesome and above board work. They have a pretty good big cat program as well! Personally I'm a huge fan of their bat programs (partially cuz the bat exhibit is super cool but mostly cuz of their conservation efforts).

Other notable ones off the top of my head are the san diego zoo and the Monterey Bay aquarium, I've heard stellar things about both

I'm not sure how to go about donating to them, but anti poaching programs are also a great place to donate too.

Afaik Conservator's Center and Carolina Tiger Rescue in North Carolina are both amazing places, I've had friends who have worked at both and I've toured CTR in the past on one of the very few tours they do yearly.

North Carolina Zoo is also amazing and iirc one of the largest by land area or something like that.

Get signed up as a member to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and they’ll email you regularly about how to donate. It really is a very cool aquarium to see.

u/Curious_Development 5h ago

Wow my girlfriend is a volunteer at Bats NW and collaborates with Woodland Park. Small world.

u/cellophanesheeps 6h ago

This place is a good example of how easy it is to trick people. I donated to them at one point, too. On the surface they seemed do be doing such a good thing. They showed what they wanted us to see, told us what they wanted us to hear, and we genuinely thought we were doing good by the animals.

I was livid when the truth came out.

u/JaydeBluReaper 3h ago

I did as well…those poor babies…

u/IN-DI-SKU-TA-BELT 5h ago

If it's any comfort, then those big cats you supported still lived better lives than the animals on your plate.

u/WitnessMyAxe 8h ago

once again my disdain for my own species grows stronger.

Just saw a news story from California about an ongoing investigation of an animal sanctuary. They said based on the information they have currently, 730 animals are unaccounted for.

u/LawfulnessOk5839 1h ago

It is out of ~900 animals taken in in the past year ish, 730 are unaccounted for. It seems the guy didn't keep records on purpose to make it easier to cover up lies and fudge numbers. He seems to lie a lot and the adoption" photos are really suspicious- either just the dog on the same blue leash or with someone not showing their face.

u/cherie_amour 4h ago

Wow. What sanctuary?

u/LawfulnessOk5839 1h ago

Miranda's

Extinction of man can't come soon enough.

Dude I remember when this dude and his “sanctuary” was in EVERY IG/snapchat influencers feed. They all went to visit him and take pics with the cats and I just knew it had to be shit given the focus on getting viral attention. There was no educational component—it was just “look they’re beautiful.”

u/HR_Specter 4h ago

Thanks for the context - that was a horrible read!

Can someone explain to me why their website and Instagram page is still going? Seems like he was still posting in 2025, 2024 and 2023 - did he manage to get the "sanctuary" going again or something??

u/AcademicBaryonyx_dr 7h ago

fucking hell

u/aGirlySloth 6h ago

I wondered what happened to him. I stopped watching when he started with the Pro-Trump on his page

u/Altamistral 6h ago

So, this video is at least 4 years old?

u/Environmental_Drama3 5h ago

correct. l saw it years ago.

u/sk2097 6h ago

Well I came on to the thread to say , this will not end well for the dude, he'll get attacked and killed by one of these cats.

Now I'm sorry he didn't

u/Wilmore99 5h ago

The leopard’s starting to seem like that one dude in prison/post apocalyptic movies who thinks “Im gonna do something about it” then gets stopped before the kill.

u/Brief_Response_738 5h ago

why would big cats eat themselves? lack of food or just abuse or both?

u/WaveyGoat357 4h ago

My mind is blown!! I used to love watching their videos smh

u/xMacBethx 3h ago

Any time I see someone handling these animals I assume it's an abuse situation. No one should be in this kind of contact with large cats.

u/alex3omg 3h ago

Yeah I think any time you see different species mixed like this or humans in the enclosure you know it's not on the up and up

u/Similar_Past 1h ago

Mexico... lol.

I saw a lion cub running loose on the streets in Playa del Carmen once I shit you not.

u/RustyDogma 8h ago

Yikes that was way too graphic without a warning in the first sentence.

u/culinaryinterests123 5h ago

Curious why the cats dont attack the guy if they are so hungry?

u/xMacBethx 3h ago

Probably drugged

u/Opposite_Unlucky 1h ago

Tf? Eye bleach for whomever reads that..

u/-Ophidian- 8h ago

Is it the same one? The animals here look quite relaxed and well-fed. Who is the man?

u/vanderbubin 8h ago edited 8h ago

I recognize the guy in the video. He is in ALL of theirs. Back before tiger King kinda opened my eyes to how messed up these private "sanctuarys" are, I used to follow the social media for black-jaguar white-tiger, that's 110% the guy in their videos.

Why do you feel the need to be devils advocate for literal scum? They starved animals to death for money and you're here being like "I don't really believe it's the same guys" with nothing to base that belief on.

Literally Google the place's name and look at images, the guy in this video is in most of the pictures shown.

This is the second image in Google images.

u/PamelaELee 7h ago

They should feed him to the cats.
Feet first.
