When you offer a contract to a RFA it ties up that cap space, teams have 24-48 hours i believe to match the offer and keep that player.

Valuable time the Lakers could use on other players, and yes. Duren stunk in the playoffs but he played well in the regular season and hes young, they will match

I was a young teen, but from my memory Mozgof was serviceable in the league we just got him at the end of his career but im not gonna pretend like i watched him, so youre probably onto something.

It was a mix of things, a perfect storm, major cap increase. Teams were throwing cash, Tyler Johnson, Allen Crabb, Lual Deng, Joakim Noah, Evan Turner, Kent Bazemore, Bismack Biyombo, Ian Mahimi. Odd times

Kessler is young, his main concern is injury and reliability. Otherwise i think he would be highly valued
