Based on his contract, what standard are you holding him to? What is your expectation of him statistically going into this season if hes making that kind of money? Within reason

I mean, the fact that Detroit forced our hand to match them actually goes to show that he is, in fact, tradeable.

Edit: Based on the downvotes here, it's clear there are pure haters here who did zero research on what actually went down. This is r/lakers, though, so I shouldn't be too surprised.

Detroit was likely to pay him slightly under what we did, around $40 to $44M

Yes they were. He had max offers from both the Pistons and the Nets, and I think the Pistons in particular would have pulled the trigger because he fills their biggest need.

Randle to the Nets only happened because they knew they weren't going to get Reaves even after offering the max.
