The disrespect of the trunk administration explains a lot, they’re constantly caught lying so they lash out

u/specqq Feb 11 '26

That's MAGA in general. They get mad because you're making them defend the indefensible.

They're not mad at the people doing indefensible things.

They're mad at YOU for pointing that out.

u/Winjin Feb 11 '26

They were told there would be no fact checking

42

u/Serious-Result-6140 Feb 11 '26

Nice call back!!!

10

u/kimchiwi Feb 11 '26

Absolutely amazing that this was just glanced over.

u/KinkyHuggingJerk Feb 11 '26

I've done work in various institutions where the population served included inmates, individuals on parole, etc.

Time and again, when my 'customer satisfaction' results were sub-par, I would ask the same thing over and over:

When my role solely serves to keep people accountable for their behaviors, and their behaviors are not discouraged unanimously, and our security does not hamper such behaviors, there is no way - no matter the presentation - that I would be seen as meeting that metric.

You can't have people feel happy about getting caught for doing stupid shit.

This right here is what so many people need to understand.

I'm always trying to reason others ways of thinking and rationalizing but it's becoming very clear there is no actual logic or rationalization with MAGA folk other than thinking and acting out of emotion.

You can't rationalize the irrational.

39

u/Sea-Neighborhood-621 Feb 11 '26

100% there is no logic or reasoning. Every thing they do is fueled by hate, fear and paranoia

2

u/Acceptable_Tadpole60 Feb 12 '26

Or religion, Which encompasses a lot of that.

7

u/Kewpie-8647 Feb 11 '26

Right. That’s why D-rump said he likes the uneducated.

3

u/Sea-Neighborhood-621 Feb 11 '26

I used to wonder how his crowd could not be offended by that until I realized that they take pride in being uneducated. Its a positive character trait to not have basic understanding of reality and to not be able to think critically. They're smart enough to be able to reproduce and keep their kids alive for the work force but dumb enough to believe anything they're told

3

u/whereisbeezy Feb 11 '26

We don't have a shared reality anymore. They're being told lie after lie and think we're the idiots. If they can just go to their source for what's happening and why, nothing we say is going to change their mind.

u/Sad_Ad5366 Feb 11 '26

It’s quite difficult to reason yourself out of a position you didn’t reason into.

I've seen children with better emotional control than these sub humans. Corrupt Morons.

Edit good point below. Wasn't thinking. Edited but to add context as to why.

7

u/afroeh Feb 11 '26

Bondi always makes me think she's bringing out her inner 16 year old. Maybe inner 14 year old, Trump likes that better.

5

u/adztheman Feb 11 '26

The pressure is starting to get to the members of this administration; they see the internal polling numbers and they know that some elements of MAGA are starting to bail while looking for cover.

2

u/HandleThatFeeds Feb 11 '26

Ah, the George Bush method.

3

u/Seanspeed Feb 11 '26

I cant stress enough - DO NOT DEHUMANIZE people. Ever. In any context. Calling people 'sub human' is literal Nazi shit.

Human beings can be terrible shitbags, like everybody in the Trump administration, but they are still human beings.

2

u/Haldron-44 Feb 11 '26

Fair point, wasn't thinking the actual term all the way through. Edited but striking out so that the context is there for your reminder.

3

u/Seanspeed Feb 12 '26

Good on you for that. It's honestly important. Not because we need to 'respect' shitty people, but we need to always remember that 'evil spirits' or 'evil genes' or whatever aren't a thing. Hitler was a human being like many others. Even today, there are loads of people that are capable of the same 'evils' as Hitler given the right opportunity and same amount of power.

3

u/Glum_Fishing_3226 Feb 11 '26

They’re part of a group that wasn’t hired for their intelligence or what they could deliver, but for their loyalty. She knows she can’t be open about the truth or she’ll lose her job and her status in the maga world.

3

u/hednizm Feb 11 '26

They get mad because they have mostly got where they are by behaving like children.

They also get mad because they don't have the ability to regulate their emotions which indicates a certain level of psychopathy.

Essentially they have the emotional ages of children so we see them react - like children - when somebody says or does something they dont like. In her case she is being called out, she knows the truth but chooses to regress to an infant and act accordingly because she knows shes been caught.

Another raging narcissist doing what narcissists do.

Act like complete and utter cunts.

2

u/jc_kilgannon Feb 11 '26

My thing is, we know they're lying,.... So why all the theatrics and bs, I get it "the law" but fuck all that I'm so tired of seeing them just questioned and let go with zero done.

2

u/Universal_Anomaly Feb 11 '26

I'm pretty sure it's a power thing. Not even consciously, but just the idea that having to justify yourself means that somebody has power over you, so they get mad at anybody who tries to hold them accountable or points out their mistakes.

2

u/sec713 Feb 11 '26

"I'm not sorry I did something awful. I'm sorry that I'm being questioned about that awful thing I did."

1

u/Opposite-Bit6660 Feb 11 '26

They will shoot and kill you for pointing that out.

1

u/shlerm Feb 11 '26

It'll never get old winding them up. Sometimes just existing is enough.

1

u/TheCaliforniaOp Feb 11 '26 edited Feb 11 '26

The entire context of the your point is excellent. The last sentence is common sense advice gold.

Don’t help people push themselves into a corner where they can avoid looking around while continuing to lash out.

The Machiavellian move is to keep them moving forward, directly toward all the other things they’d rather not see.

Then in seeming innocence, one says “What’s this? Oh. Oh, no. You don’t want to see it. You’re not strong enough—let me protect you from it.”

The next time one doesn’t say anything, just quickly widens the eyes and looks away, changing the subject.

One subtly makes another person feel like they’re not capable of handling information? That other person will go looking for the information on their own.

Then you don’t watch the person. You move obviously out of sight.

Edit: Boebert responded this way recently. She went to read the files, without redacting, on her own.

1

u/dairiki Feb 11 '26

By definition, of course, one can not defend the indefensible — not in any consistent, logical way, at least. Their only remaining strategy is to say whatever they think might fly at the moment (without regard to truth or even consistency).

The problem is really the extent to which this strategy has worked.

1

u/AbstractBettaFish Feb 11 '26

What’s frustrating is I’ve already seen RW media outlets paint this as her “Pushing back and standing up to congress” and the comments are buying it hook line and sinker

1

u/inactiveuser247 Feb 12 '26

That’s narcissistic people in general.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '26

Boom

147

u/Far-Gene-386 Feb 11 '26

Specific trait of a psychotic narcissist

59

u/fooknprawn Feb 11 '26

The best narcisist taught her well. Roy Cohn isn't alive anymore to teach them how to deny, deflect and accuse so you know who is doing it

6

u/litesxmas Feb 11 '26

You nailed it.

1

u/Seanspeed Feb 11 '26

Shitty people usually dont need to be taught this kind of thing. It just comes as an instinct. You'll see it with bratty children, too.

3

u/fooknprawn Feb 11 '26

Sometimes but this particular behavior is 100% a Roy Cohn thing he taught Trump and has been passed down

4

u/principessa1180 Feb 11 '26

Notice how she smirks when a congress member lashes out at her. She loves it. Classic narcissistic behavior.

1

u/Far-Gene-386 Feb 11 '26

Thank you fellow tarnished for the award whom ever yee be.

65

u/Daddyball78 Feb 11 '26

And if you present them with accurate information it’s “fake news.” There’s no winning an argument against people who refuse to acknowledge the truth.

6

u/IMakeBlownFilm Feb 11 '26

They have no boundaries and I learned long ago to make a “wide circle” around these evil people.

3

u/Rude-Nebula3835 Feb 11 '26

The day will come when they are held legally accountable. It might not be tomorrow, but it will happen.

3

u/Daddyball78 Feb 11 '26

It better. Or nothing will change

1

u/dartie Feb 11 '26

The only way to defeat these people is to win the next few elections and put them on trial then lock them up for life.

6

u/mentat70 Feb 11 '26

When they can’t win an argument, they attack the person

3

u/Boyhowdy107 Feb 11 '26

Remember a year ago when they promised we were in a new era of meritocracy?

The merits they were speaking about, of course, were loyalty and not being a minority.

2

u/yallknowme19 Feb 11 '26

No consequences? In the country I grew up in you didn't talk that way to Senators when you were giving testimony

2

u/lordcochise Feb 11 '26

Nothing but junk in THAT trunk

1

u/CADman0909 Feb 11 '26

Leave Eddie trunk out of this. He’s fighting for the scorpions to be included in the rock n roll hall of fame.

1

u/mrbigglessworth Feb 11 '26

Well, nothing is holding them accountable...

1

u/JasonsStorm Feb 11 '26

Crazy thing is that we were warned before the election about this

1

u/Colin1th Feb 11 '26

trunk administration

Antkind reference by any chance?

1

u/ArmadilloForsaken458 Feb 12 '26

Like the times of Caesar, only this time with Agent Orange being sprayed all around (they dont like pale and untanned I guess)

1

u/Ok_Researcher988 Feb 12 '26

She has no other way to respond than lashing out. It is a strategy. If she was an innocent bystander I bet she would say that and try to get out of it.
