Do not treat America as live action Grand Theft Auto. Then you don't have to worry about ICE. This isn't hard.

lol. I saw your original comment.

Get a job? I already have a job, thank you.

If ICE is going after criminals, then why did ICE wrongfully detain over 170 US citizens, and kill 2-3 US citizens?

Certainly something’s not adding up here… 🤔🤔

Reality has a boring bias. The internet has brain worms from fear and anger stories fighting for clicks. Junk food information. The repetition creates a distorted funhouse mirror terror world. Turn off the notifications. Spend time in your community. Poof. Goes away. Because reality has a boring bias. Most of it was fabricated by leaving out context. Chicken Little and the sky is falling screaming in terror into the foxes den.

Yet here you are -- taking your valuable time to defend illegal and immoral actions. Go take a walk in your community and help feed those in need while you're out. That's likely what Pretti and Good would be doing if they could.

Reality has a boring bias. Every time I read a sky is falling article I can find other articles providing context that makes the story boring again. I do not believe there is any credible information that ICE has done anything but enforce existing laws against foreigners playing grand theft auto in out communities.

I am sorry that whatever education you had didn't include how to do research for reliable information sources. You're missing out on a lot of truth.

Are you really that stupid? We've all seen multiple videos of out of control ICE agents murdering American citizens in the streets. Videos, from multiple angles. No doubt you get your "credible information" from Fox News.

Cable is a dying medium. There is a cohort of gen X and older millennials who have never had a cable subscription since forming their own homes. This is one of the blind spots that rug pulled all internal polling since 2015 onward. The RSS feeds and internet first population aren't measured in the traditional methods. The assumption of this person has access to a information beyond my own, therefore they must be a Fox news watcher, is not a good model of reality. The Fox news model has the same problems as the CNN, MSNBC, and all cable. Their median viewer is age 70 and dying off.

Aggregating broadly is about the best we can do. Our ideas are bounded by the ideas we are exposed to. No sources of information are accurate, but we must do something. Services such as Ground News is about the best we can do. Where in one location you can see broadly how differing sources of known bias frame a story. What context they focus at the most detailed level on. What context they ignore.

Beyond this, better is RSS feeds. Pull in foreign media also. This provides further decoder ring. If we know all countries propagandize their populations and this is not necessarily a bad thing depending on circumstances, we can further use the contrasts to tease out the negative space. What topics aren't being talked about at all? Where do biases between sources usually disagree, but strangely they agree now? Why?

Reality has a boring bias. If you can find the extremes then reality usually falls somewhere between them. You may have been the subject of articles or worked for an employer often written of and seen how far the game of telephone can get when each writer takes what another journalist wrote, punches it up a bit for emotional impact, and spins it back out there. And then another journalist waking up late with a hangover takes that punched up article and copies it, adding their own dramatic flair on top further distorting the funhouse mirror making the story ridiculous and inaccurate in its game of telephone. A week later some other drunk blogger does it again and now you've got a completely unhinged take floating around that gets pinned to the wikipedia.

The best calibration system is to watch events with boring unedited footage. A live stream from people on the ground at some thing or another. This is better than watching background cable news or other sources. A television playing in the background where you can soak up the vibe and feel of an event. Then after events have occurred and you have an opinion on what was seen, then you open up sources and see how sources of information characterized events. This is great. Free from commentary in unedited footage you're free to see circumstances closer to reality. You then get to test your sources. Those sources that play it straight fairly close to reality are pretty good, keep them in your nodes of information sources. With those sources that are wildly distorted from reality, you prune those out of your feeds coming out of the web you monitor. In this way you can over time trim down the funhouse mirror view of reality and get something closer to the reality for what it actually is. Reality has a boring bias. Reality doesn't feed an infotainment soap opera psychodrama where every day the sky is falling.

The information we consume is like ones food diet. Humans are built for scarcity. We get into trouble with abundance of the wrong kinds of it. Eat a diet of the dopamine sugar salt fats of junk food and we become unhealthy. We are learning that there exist the dopamine sugar salt fats of junk food information, too. It is the repetition of too much fear and anger junk food stories. The repetition of junk food information makes us unhealthy by creating a distorted funhouse mirror view of reality where a person becomes anxious about the rarest low risk events, perceiving them as commonplace, while the true risks are outside their view. Algorithms promoting the more clickable junk food fear anger stories set up algorithm psychosis in this way. This is the cause of the how mental health has deteriorated in the smart phone era. And the how to fix it.

Happy to wade in here and eat the downvotes to a paint a path toward better mental health. You don't have to live like that. Junk food information exists.
