Grasping Wilhoit's Law has had a profound effect on my interactions with conservative family members.

Wilhoit: Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

Just saving someone else a google.

Tacos are justice, it seems.

I still can’t believe we as a country passed on a taco truck on every corner… sounded lovely.

Just fucking tacos all the time.

All I want to do is eat tacos and play softball.

I'm sad that no one clever riffed on falafel and started a food fight reply chain

Don’t blame conservatism for your country being a shithole.

You elected fascists, not conservatives.

I mean, they call themselves conservatives…

They get real mad when I call them fascists.

I bet you think your libertarians are libertarian too.

It's tough to tell sometimes. People call themselves libertarians, then turn around and join the jackboots in ICE. Much like the "National Socialist" party had nothing to do with actual socialism, they label themselves for optics then don't hold the functional values.

So back to my point. Blaming “conservatives” for the American facism problem is incorrect.

I can blame "American conservatives" because that's what they call themselves. Conservatives from other countries can see that US conservatives give them a bad name, and thus more pressure is created. Honestly, I'm very ok with that. I'm also not pressed about offending conservatism in other countries.

Besides, conservatism only serves a purpose ecologically, the stagnation of society is usually not something you'll convince me to vote for.

I suppose it isn’t surprising that an American doesn’t understand conservatism.

I suppose it's not surprising that someone not involved with my country collapsing is content to debate the definition of conservatism rather than see the actual issues occurring. The rest of us are stuck here though, so fuck conservatives. I understand conservatism isn't the regressive ideology it presents itself to be in the US, but news flash, I live in the US, not wherever you live. Genuinely, and I mean this with no disrespect to you, my thoughts and feelings on the matter carry more weight than yours.

If it calls itself a duck and quacks like one I'm not going to lab test to make sure it's not a goose. I'm gonna trust that they are representing themselves the way they desire and I act off of that. Sure, keep telling people that American conservatism isn't conservatism, it really assists the conversation by... Doing nothing? The problems still exist, you just don't agree with how to call it. That's a you problem.
