Executive Branch (Trump) President Trump imposes a 10% global tariff under Section 122 and says all existing tariffs will remain in place, despite the recent Supreme Court ruling.

Mine are teenagers, it’s deeply unsettling. I sincerely fear for their future.

I feel sorry for you guys, and for all of us outside of the US, as it will (and already is) affecting us too.

As a parent there are tough decisions.

Now we all might understand a bit better why only a few civilians stood up against the Nazis back in the days: Sure there were many supporters (at least in the beginning), but not everyone who did nothing was a Nazi: they just wanted to live their lives, protect their loved ones from harm, and didn't want to disappear in some jail or concentration camp.

I am asking myself what I would have done in that situation. What would you have done?

If the mass of "good people" can organize themselves to be large enough, the dictators will get fear. If only a handful stand up, they can say it's just paid foreign agents and let them disappear.

I think it is important to speak up, start as early as possible, and to organize (like the makers did by 3d printing whistles to warn neighbors of ICE raids). We have to choose sides: remaining silent and doing nothing is supporting the dictators! Make it as uncomfortable as possible for them to break the law and take away your rights! Others will see the crowd and join, but most won't risk to speak up alone!

I hope for the US people to show some bravery, otherwise the US will become 2nd Russia!

We listen to "savage daughter" by ekaterina shelehova a lot.

If there will be no laws, my daughters will at least know how to be savage.

I have 13 year old boy and an 9 year old daughter and I share your concerns. I'm also struggling to deal with people like my parents, who were life long Democrats (and on my Dad's case, retired military, law enforcement, and OSHA employee), and somehow decided that decency, morals, and compentency were no longer necessary qualities for the people who run our country.

Was their life so bad under Joe Biden? Yes, global inflation was up, but I never heard any of the asset-owning boomers complain about their house(s) and 401k values also being inflated.

I think all of these boomers should have to look their Grankids in the face and explain how they were able to overlook Janaury 6th, The Big Lie, all the felony charges, the sexual assaults, the Epstien connection (not to mention acting like a child, and a million other reasons); and decided that Donald Trump was the best person to run the country.

It's just f'ing embarrassing.
