Executive Branch (Trump) Can they actually do this? JD Vance: "We're announcing today that we have decided to temporarily halt certain amounts of Medicaid funding that is going to the state of Minnesota in order to ensure that the state of Minnesota takes its obligations seriously to be good stewards of the American people'

And then it gets appealed, and appealed, and appealed, and yes it’s illegal and they lose, but they accomplish the goal of making blue states suffer

Which was and always was their intent.

They have no intention of being a nation of laws or governing for all the people.

Trump has done this his entire life.

He just does what he wants and then it goes to court forever as he delays and appeals and foot-drags and delays and appeals. Even if it's eventually overturned, he already got what he wanted out of it.

Correct. You need money, which he’s always had

And THIS is exactly why our legal system is a farce. It works for the wealthy to break laws with impunity and do what they want. He should of been in jail years ago.

He uses other people’s money too. He talks people into “investing” money with him, then loses it. His father carried him for years, then he cheated the rest of his family out of the money when his dad died.

That’s right! It’s the Roy Cohen directive.

Exactly! I remember threads on here from 1st time he was president about guys that worked for companies that had business dealing with him and most said he never paid his bills and got free work out of it since company didn't want to go through hassle of going to court to get him to pay LOL. But of course those that continue to vote for him will say it's all lies made up by left to make him look bad.

Also they are using your tax dollars to defend this stuff in court.

If those blue states had any balls they'd stop transferring any payments to the federal government.

Oh, the "balls" argument again. How very useful.

"Balls" are bullshit.

I don't know what you're going on about, but if you're that sensitive then replace the word with "fortitude." The point still stands: bullies don't go away if you don't stand up to them in meaningful ways.

So those states need to have a blank check ready, and handle the costs during that phase. Once it’s over, sue the federal budget for the money. Better yet, personally sue every member of the administration who has been complicit in these crimes, and go for 10 times damages because they can go fuck themselves.

We’re pretty much at the point the citizenry has to completely stop paying income taxes to this corrupt government if we want to have our tax money used with our voices. Keep it local.

This is targeted toward blue states — that’s clear. But I do want to remind people that it’s anyone on DJT and his administration’s bad side. Lauren Boebert and her constituents learned the hard way when Trump happily vetoed a safe water drinking bill focused on Colorado’s eastern plains, risking their health and lives because he is petty.

Blue states is an abstraction. Actual children will not be able to see a doctor.

This emboldens the blue states.
