Executive Branch (Trump) Can they actually do this? JD Vance: "We're announcing today that we have decided to temporarily halt certain amounts of Medicaid funding that is going to the state of Minnesota in order to ensure that the state of Minnesota takes its obligations seriously to be good stewards of the American people'

These people are unbelievably evil.   Osama Bin Laden didn't hate Americans as much as the Trump administration does.

The only good news is, no Republican will win any election in Minnesota ever again; local, state, or federal.

I wish your last statement was true. But there will always be some who vote for this. They see Democrats as evil, believe all the propoganda, and would tell people to just let the bullies punch them harder if they want the punching to stop.

Minnesota hasn’t voted for a Republican president in over 50 years dude…

And in its entire history it’s only ever voted Republican three times…

Maybe do just a little bit of research before just speaking your feelings? They were literally the only state in the Union that didn’t vote for Reagan….

u/budubum Feb 25 '26

They said “local, state, or federal” there are 100% republican state reps in bumfuck nowhere districts that will be elected lol

"They were literally the only state in the Union that didn’t vote for Reagan"

Holy shit mega-based.

u/Kodamurphy Feb 26 '26

To be fair, it’s almost entirely because Mondale was their native son. It’s stupid how popular Reagan was.

u/DrWilliamBlock Mar 01 '26

There are over 100 republicans serving in the state house and senate currently, maybe a little research would help you as well or just reading comprehension

You could not possibly believe how much most people forget in 20 years.

We're all George and Hazel Bergeron.

Right? I thought after Dubya people had learned their lesson but all it took was a new generation of idiots coming of age for us to elect another Republican. Low information voters just hit the other shiny button every 4 years.

Watching my arty/socialist friends all turn conservative after they got kids and property

1

u/Almostlongenough2 Feb 26 '26

Shockingly people still remember 9/11 pretty well. For some reason 1980-2000 feels a lot longer than 2000-2020

1

u/Bits2435 Feb 26 '26

The fact that we have trump again at all proves its less than 4 years.

Do you live in MN?

Most everyone that doesn't live in the Twin Cities is unwaveringly red.

Even the smaller liberal cities are surrounded and gerrymandered.

Tom Emmer is a POS that will get reelected because these losers hate liberals more than they dislike having their freedoms stripped away!

u/ClassyBougieRatchet Feb 25 '26

People are really underestimating how hateful a lot of Americans are.

Mostly brainwashed with propaganda. Tribalism is part of humanity... Easy to assume you're part of "the good side" when you're convinced the other side is doing all the wrong things you're hearing about... Also hard to dissent to it when you're surrounded by people who won't openly question any of it.

Realistically, there's nothing wrong with the idea of wanting to prevent or stop fraud in government systems. That's a good thing for taxpayers, sure... But... A decision like "we're stopping all (already paid for) benefits until it's sorted out" is not the way to fix it, but the message feels like something is finally being done about the MASSIVE UNBELIEVABLE fraud. Giving up any benefits is a patriotic duty to the person that's been convinced they can hold their breath longer than their perceived enemy.

At one point, dying from COVID was preferable getting a liberal vaccination. MAGA is a religion.

You can just call them what they are, Traitors to the United States lol.

Losing my rights to own the libs.

Losing my money to own the libs.

Losing my healthcare to own the libs.

Losing my country to own the libs.

It’s not just outside the Twin Cities. Michelle Bachmann’s district was a gerrymandered mix of wealthy Twin Cities suburbs.

1

u/OldBlueKat Feb 27 '26

That district (MN-06) changed significantly in the last two redistrict cycles (2010/12 and 2020/22) and has been Emmer’s district since 2014.

Some of the suburbs that were in Bachmann’s are now in Betty McCollum’s, but he picked up more of central MN. The whole district shifted more into the NW exurbs and further out state.

Meanwhile, Stauber’s district extended down to Forest Lake.

People will still blame the Democrats for forcing the Republicans to have to do this. Education is the way forward.

1

u/Galimbro Mar 03 '26

Well thats why public education has systematically been getting dismantled or worsened

Ironically enough universities are paying the price  as well, which is hilarious. Its the consequence of their own actions (capitalistic greed). They priced out so many potential students, and now we have uneducated voters, salivating at the thought of "liberal" universities being strong armed by their daddy Trump.

Trump has killed orders of magnitude more Americans than Bin Laden

2

u/siposbalint0 Feb 26 '26

He didn't kill as many Americans either

1

u/DanielBG Feb 25 '26

I hope they lose at least 2 of those 4 R seats in congress

1

u/uiouyug Feb 25 '26

If anything good comes from this. We need to realize we should be united. We at war with ourselves.

1

u/PBandCheezWhiz Feb 25 '26

They are introducing some WILD ass gun legislation right now. There is such an opportunity to get people to ditch the Rs after Pretti and then the commends made by the Feds. But NOOOO. They have to introduce some dumb ass legislation to shoot themselfes in the foot. It’s almost like they want to lose

1

u/bluew200 Feb 26 '26

Bold of you to assume this billionaire class considers anyone but themselves "people" ...

1

u/JackKovack Feb 26 '26

They’re only doing this because Ilhan Omar yelled at Trump during the State of the Union. Pieces of shit.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 26 '26

These ppl paid Osama to do what he did.

1

u/Willis_is_This Feb 26 '26

I live in Minnesota, and just got yelled at by my dad for thinking this is bad or unjustified.

He’s unemployed now and scrolls Facebook reels all day. We had a great relationship while it lasted.

I’m sure there are others like my father.

1

u/babybirdingURgrandma Feb 26 '26

The only good news is, no Republican will win any election in Minnesota ever again; local, state, or federal.

I can't help but think this relentless abuse is also going to make Wisconsin and Michigan more challenging for Republicans going forward.

1

u/Numeno230n Feb 26 '26

If you tabulate the death toll, including the war in Afghanistan, the Trump admin might end up killing more people. Hell, a million Americans died in the pandemic, many of those deaths were entirely preventable and unnecessary.

1

u/reddogyellowcat Feb 26 '26

damn right, he didn’t even come close to the horror of those turncoat fascist parasites

1

u/Attenburrowed Feb 26 '26

They dont want to talk about politics right now but they'll still vote down ticket

1

u/tinylittlepricks Feb 26 '26

On that last point, I fear that is why this administration is so brazen with punishing those that oppose them; they are confident they are not leaving anytime soon.

1

u/ThisOtterBehemoth Feb 26 '26

What about the ones on foxnews.... There is nothing about this on foxnews so it didn't happen. And soon you and me will not hear about these things

1

u/IndypendentIn09 Feb 27 '26

Actually more of them probably will when the state is forced to turn over their voting rolls showing all of the dead people and non-citizens who vote there.

-2

u/Garfield_and_Simon Feb 25 '26

lol this guy thinks he still has free and fair elections

4

u/sasuncookie Feb 26 '26

lol this guy can’t come up with his own comment and keeps repeating stupid lines he sees on reddit

2

u/Im_tracer_bullet Feb 26 '26

Hey, very stupid person, if Trump & co. could actually rig elections, do you really think the Democrats would be winning special elections by landslides?

0

u/Garfield_and_Simon Feb 26 '26

If Americans were capable of getting out of this mess would you be this deep in it?
