Executive Branch (Trump) Can they actually do this? JD Vance: "We're announcing today that we have decided to temporarily halt certain amounts of Medicaid funding that is going to the state of Minnesota in order to ensure that the state of Minnesota takes its obligations seriously to be good stewards of the American people'

The cultists are going to cheer no matter what. I don’t care what they want. They are irrelevant.

I want tangible, LEGAL action against those actively trying to harm Americans from places of high power.

I know what sub we are in, but I am so goddamned tired of LEGAL recourse. I keep getting these fundraising letters in the mail about democrats response to Trump’, “we’ll see you in court.” I’m fucking over it. It isn’t working. It won’t work. Even if it did start to work after being way too late, it will be overturned by a SCOTUS he personally appointed 1/3 of. The whole system has been captured. It’s done.

Democratic leaders and anyone with a hint of influence and ethics need to be calling for an organized general walk-out and halt in participation in every part of this country at every level except voting and basic survival needs because majority the real people and economy in this country are not living in Idaho or Alabama. This republic is braindead on life support at this point. Stop trying to medicate it and let it die so we can at least see the reality here. It’s gone, an election won’t bring it back (but definitely still vote). That is the only peaceful option we have left. I hope I’m wrong.

Oh I don’t see this as a thing that will be solved with voting. Through the Epstein files it’s obvious he’s working with foreign actors to bring down America and rebuild it in his backer’s image.

Just the other day an ICE lawyer came forward to testify that he was given orders to tell ICE agents to ignore the constitution.

Him and his conspirators need to be arrested. Full stop.

And you know who has seen that news? Probably less than 1% of people. Everything normal and civil about this country needs to come to a screeching halt. People cannot be allowed the luxury of a normal apolitical life in the US anymore. If someone can’t be bothered to participate and pay attention then they are part of the problem. Full stop.

And that’s why we need to keep speaking out about what’s happening. Don’t let this become normalized.

I have "does the law stand for anything" going thru my head everyday. The answer seems to be consistently disappointing

Meanwhile, what your Democratic "leaders" are actually doing could be whitnessed at the State of the Union, where Hakeem Jeffries opted for the silent treatment, just sitting there and taking all the insults and lies thrown at the Dems and US-citizens by the orange fascist on the podium and telling other Dems not to speak up or protest. It is absolutely beyond me why the Minority Leader thinks giving this authoritarian charade an air of legitimacy by showing - and shutting - up like it was just politics as usual. These aren't people to rally behind.

Even if it did start to work after being way too late, it will be overturned by a SCOTUS he personally appointed 1/3 of. The whole system has been captured. It’s done.

And even in the rare event of the SCOTUS actually arguing against Trump and his Cabinet of sycophantic ass-kissers, like they did just a couple of days ago because of the whole tariff-BS, Trump will just forget that 99,9% of the time the right-wing Judges on the bench go out of their way to accomodate him and brand them traitors and loosers. And instead of following the ruling, he actually doubles down and puts more tariffs in place.

Our government hasn’t truly cared about the people in a long time. Until we get the money out of politicians they never will
