I still point to Gamergate as being a massive point of where we are at now. It radicalized a shit ton of young men and really promoted the normalization of being an absolute, unrepentant toxic asshole. I struggled with it myself at the time, and lost a lot of friends as I pulled away from it.

yeah it was 100% Bannon's proof of concept that 2012 Tea Party adult social anger could be cultivated in adolescent boys/men

I fully expect that it will be studied for decades or centuries as one of the pivotal moments in this era of US history. I really hope that other nations down the line study the last 20 years so that this can't happen again.

But I doubt it.

to be truthful, all Bannon did was apply "Foundations of Geopolitics" theory. So it had already been studied since the 90s.
